Isla Gigantes is one of the hottest and best tropical tourist attractions in the Philippines today.

Composed of 13 islands--8 of which are lined with pristine white sandy beaches--Isla Gigantes has more to offer than just swimming in its crystal clear turquoise waters.

There are dozens of caves to discover, virgin remote beaches, a saltwater lagoon, and fantastic snorkeling areas.

We went there as a group for 3 days & 2 nights. Though the weather was quite gloomy when went off from iloilo city, we arrived with the sunshine greeting us. The island speaks for itself with the clear waters and fresh air. We stayed at Scallop Front beach resort and the staff were very accommodating from the time we... More

The island hopping was the best thing to do in Isla Gigantes. Visiting Tangke which is a sea water lagoon was just perfect for a swim. Cliff dive was a plus factor! The Cabugao Gamay trip was just awesome for the island selfie wherein you can the see island itself in the picture. The sandbar was just perfect for a... More

Very laid back and the perfect place to do nothing. Having lived in the city all my life I can't imagine how people here can deal with everyday challenges that we take for granted - no mobile data signal, rotational electricity... there are only two boat trips going to the island and two going back to either estancia port or... These place is a gem. But if you get to talk to their locals, they are being controlled over by the municipality that does not really give a damn to the island but takes 50pesos per guests for the environmental fee.

I spent my birthday this year there. We bought a packaged tour from Iloilo Travel Max. We left Iloilo City at 5am and arrived at Estancia, Iloilo at 7am. A motorized boat was waiting for us there and the island hopping began. We passed by the famous Sicogon Island which is being developed to handle more tourists, then we stopped... More

Simple living with a time limit of electriciy from 6pm-6am. No cellphone signal either! And yet we still enjoy it since we have no choice but to really bond with each other. 😂 One can also have an unlimited scallops in every meal. 😆 The one we stayed in supports the nearby elementary school. Before and after going to school... More
