Great place to visit, informative and unique
Feb 2021
This is a little off the beaten track but a great place to visit.

Entry is AUD 2.00 on the honesty system, and there are good toilets available. There's plenty of parking and it seems to be popular for an overnight spot.

The walk to/from is not arduous, the scenery is great and it's worth exploring a bit as some of the views are hidden by trees.

Don't forget to grab some local honey too (also honesty system).

Well worth a visit.

Really worth a visit, Awesome

Absolutely amazing, really enjoyed our time here, they are on private property, the area is well maintained, toilets and a picnic area. $2 a person or $5 a family, well worth it. They are large well weathered granite outcrops, and got their name because a passer by long ago mistook them for Haystacks.
Really worth a visit!!

Very odd

The haystacks are granite boulders rising from the red dirt high into the air. Each would be 3+ metres high. Some are narrow but others are quite wide. A small selection are by themselves in an open field but many more are hiding in amongst trees. There is signage explaining how they were formed.

Amazing rock formations- still don’t understand how they ended up in this paddock. Toilets at the site.

Great for a visit if you like weird rocks - and this continent has its share, right? Quite eerie, atmospheric to walk around them, the way the wind is channelled between them, then vanishes. Honesty box for home grown honey too!

Well worth the stop

A short drive from Streaky Bay. Good road. Very small donation type entry fee and so well worth seeing. Well worth a walk around and inbetween all of them - immerse yourself in the incredible way these rocks formed .... I was amazed. We had a hot cloudless blue sky day ..... made it spectacular. Loved it !

Read some reviews & thought we’d check it out. Whilst the rock formations were impressive I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to see them

These rock formations are awesome and really worth the drive. Take your time and enjoy the very pleasant walk. Entry is $2 per person and there are good clean toilets. We also bought some honey $10 per jar which is local. Loved our visit and would highly recommend.

An Amazing sight

Murphys Haystacks are an amazing sight to see! Very unusual rock formations in the middle of a paddock! Well worth the walk around to see these formations. You can also purchase a nice jar of honey on the property as well!
