Well worth the drive and the walk!
Apr 2021
Well worth the drive, the road is unsealed but ok. Cape Bauer is quite spectacular and the whistling rocks and blow hole fantastic, bit of a walk to get to them but well worth it.

Relaxed drive

This loop is probably not as spectacular as Westall Loop but is definitely worth the drive, swimming and surfing beaches and some classic fishing spots. The boardwalk to the Blowhole and Whistling cliffs is also enjoyable

Great little "loop"
Jul 2020
We were given a map when we checked in to our accommodation and the Cape Bauer loop was on it. We spent the day driving around the scenic loops and this one did not disappoint. We packed a lunch and the thermos and off we went. Other than the petrol this was a free day exploring and we absolutely had a ball. This scenic loop is well worth the time and we will do it again next time we are in Streaky Bay

Go when it is high tide
Jul 2020 • Couples
Good roads and great for kids because it is not too long. Suitable for all cars.
The blowhole is best when the high tide is coming in and the wind is blowing. The sound is amazing.
Only takes about 1-2 hours to do the loop, depending on how long you stop and look.

Cape Bauer Loop Drive
Mar 2020
Visited on Monday 9th March. We were staying in Streaky Bay and went for a drive around the Cape Bauer Loop, stopping at Hallys Beach and Cape Bauer. The road was unsealed and ok for a 2wd vehicle.
