Magnificent bay with clean sand and clear blue waters. Short walk from the car park and is better when the 4WD are not tearing up and down.

About an hour from Pt Lincoln with a fair bit of driving on a dirt road to get to the end. You can drive on to the beach, however, the sand is soft so beware. Alternatively, walk down the track to one of the best beaches you'll ever find. Pristine and sheltered waters, white sands and not too many people. Explore the area by foot, drive through the sands or swim in the clean water. Make a day of it.

The scenery is stunning. The beach is pristine and all to yourself. Drive there is fine for 2WD. Great place to chill and take pictures.

My boyfriend and I came to PL to visit some family members, and they took us to this beach. It was a perfect day. The sun was out, the waves were calm, and there was no one there. Be careful driving down to the beach, but once you get there you will want to spend the whole day there. The white sand goes so far out, and then the waves crash away from the shore, and its just perfect. Take a hike up the ridge and you can get the perfect picture shot.

Fishery Bay is located 38 km from Port Lincoln by heading out on the Proper Bay Road and turn onto Fishery Bay Road. Due to its location and shape, it offers a variety of options ranging from safe swimming through to heavy surf which is weather and swell dependent. Fishery Bay composes of a pristine white beach with 4wd access and points off each end that can often fire up with great surf breaks. There is usually a rip or two streaming off the beach so please watch your kids and maybe pick the quiet end of the beach for increased safety.
The gravel road out to Fisheries varies in condition but is fine for all conventional vehicles with care. A car park with toilets is located at Fishery Bay.
West Coasters are protective of this area so please make sure you take all your rubbish with you. Vehicle are allowed on the beach and it can have plenty of people, dogs etc walking, running, playing games of cricket etc. at times. As a consequence please drive slowly around other beach users and ensure you are experienced at sand driving as the exit from the beach can be very soft and hazardous. Whalers Way is located very close to Fishery Bay so you could easily check out both on the same day (key required from Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre)

My daughter and I visited Fishery Bay for a late afternoon dip. The water is very clean and refreshing, although the beach is shallow for some distance. The sand is also pristine, and great for a barefoot stroll. As with so many Australian coastal beaches, you need to beware of rips, but they were quite obvious with the gaps in the gentle rolling surf.

Arrived at a spectacular beach. Found a kiosk at Whalers Bay and met a great man who runs the kiosk. A super friendly guy who only charges 2 dollars a bottle of icy cold water when I am sure many would pay a heap more. A great experience.

Kayak, swim and surf here on any balmy summer day. Some wind protection and an opportunity to snorkel up the left end of the beach, where heaps of Tommy Ruff and Trevally can be seen with the odd Whiting and flathead too. Toilets are available. There is a very sandy downhill access to the beach, which only 4x4 vehicles can handle. You can park in the car park and walk the last 250m if you don't have a 4x4.

This beach has the finest sand I have ever seen, I have been up and down the east coast of Australia, but this sand is like baby powder. Amazing colours in the water.
