While driving to Meningie, we saw a lot of cars parked and there was a sign: "Pink Lake." We stopped and took pictures of it. We were not the only ones. There were several cars parked and everyone had a camera. It is not every...More

If you’re travelling on the Western Hwy and come across the Pink Lake it is definitely worth the stop. There is a good parking area and toilets as well, although the toilets were disgusting and need far better up keep. It’s a short walk down...More

Harvest of this lake is taking place in Dec-Feb I believe (but do check) and such a great place for travellers to call into and walk down to the waters edge and dabble your toes into the salty water. Not wheelchair friendly but am sure...More

The first salt lake I have walked on and although the pink was difficult to see at times if you looked at a cross section of the salt crust you broke as you walked on it the centre was definitely pink. Well worth the visit...More

As you drive past you cannot miss out on this interesting sight. The rest area needs to be checked more frequently though as the bin was overflowing - could do with a cleanup.

This is a fantastic free attraction conveniently located by the highway. It was quite crowded with many Asian tourists so the small car park was full. They all huddled in the same spot by the centre but take your socks and shoes off and walk...More

You could see the lake from the highway so we turned around to go back to it. It's colour is incredible and it is amazing to walk on top of the water via the salt deposits on top. Stunning place to visit.

We happen to chance upon it during our drive from Melbourne to Adelaide. There’s a parking area but did not see any signs stating it’s existence. We could see this pinkish lake while driving pass and decided to turn back and check it out. Best...More

The lake has a solid salt bed which reacts with it's red algae to create the colour. It's even brighter after rain when new algae grows. If you Google 'Pink Lake, Victoria' you can probably find way more detailed... More
