this town goes back a long way and it is all on display in here, a good couple of hours is needed to wrap ones head around what it took to make this little town what it is today, well worth the visit

Really interesting museum based on the old Police Station and Court House but so much more - the town and locality’s history, agriculture, domestic life, etc. Time just passes by so quickly so allow plenty of time.

We were walking in the Melrose area and had a couple of hours after our daily hike to explore the town. This place gives you an understanding of the history of the area. Great to see some local Aboriginal input also.
