We contacted Sharon as we were looking to do a walk around Hahndorf on the day we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Although she had no walking tours scheduled for that day, Sharon agreed to meet us and take us for a twilight walk around the streets of the village. We were so pleasantly surprised the night before our walk... More

Thank you Mark and Taryn for your review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the Strassendorf tour. I felt 30 years of marriage was certainly something to celebrate and I wanted HWT to be part of your celebration. I was able to share my Village's story with you and you shared your story with me. Both stories of immigration to this... More

Having recently moved to Hahndorf, I felt it was really important to get to know more about my village, other than the obvious Main Street and its offerings. Sharon presented a very informative tour, taking us off the beaten track into the back streets. She is obviously passionate about the history of Hahndorf, and it's very infectious! I think this... Rosalyn you are absolutely right! So many residents don't know the gems that are hidden in the Village nor the wonderful, intriguing stories of the village. It was lovely to have you and your mum along on tour. So glad she could fit it into her schedule whilst here from South Africa. She was delightful. I look forward to having... More

VIsited Hahndorf many years ago, and like many people, walked up and down the Main Street and thought what a beautiful German village. This time we did a walking tour of the back streets (Huffendorf) and learnt so much about the history and the families that founded this Germanic town. Sharon shared not only the history and folklore but her... More

You guys were the best. Thanks for your review. Next time you come I'll take you on different tour. There is always something new to share in my village. The 'Strassendorf' and 'After Dark' tours are equally as interesting. So many people come into this fantastic village and don't take the time, or make the time to do much else... More

S Great tour about Hahndorf's history and its buildings with "toddler wisperer" Sharon Our young family of 4 (myself, hubby, our 2 year old toddler and 4 month old infant) were lucky to get on Sharon's walking tour through beautiful Hahndorf. As we only had one day in Hahndorf it was the perfect way to escape the mainstream tourism and... More

The tour guide Sharon – a very lovely person- showed me around the Huffendorf and Hahndorf Main Street. Being German myself I loved to hear the stories about the life of early settler and how they’ve struggled setting up a science and general knowledge oriented school in addition to a religion oriented one, how they helped the young State of...
