We bought my Mother In Law to the winery yesterday afternoon. The outlook and ambience is warm and inviting. The whole experience was excellent. The winemaker was knowledgable and entertaining. He took time and effort to explain everything rather than just pour the wine and move on to other customers. I appreciate this level of service. My husband and his... More

We liked that this place wasn't too big and there weren't too many people there when we arrived. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Tasting is $5 pp refundable if you purchase any product. There is also a small restaurant serving platters and you can also do chocolate wine match tasting

This place is beautiful. Lovely location. A wonderfully unique chocvino menu (at least I hadn't seen anything like it before). Having stated that, we loved the wine, and we loved the chocolate, however we didn't really get the whole merging of the two making them better than they were separately. Never-the-less, a delightful experience. The service was good.

I have visited this winery on numerous occasions and each time the service at the wine tasting and for lunch has been outstanding. I particularly like the option of having 3 wines with the meal. Mark and Larry are both very professional but maintain the common touch and always demonstrate great enthusiasm.

Dear Ian, Thank you for your lovely words about our cellar door service and about Larry’s and Marc’s customer approach, which I know they will appreciate. I am glad you enjoyed our wine flight concept. Later in the year we will have some interesting new wines that will appear on the wine flight list, so do pop by again. Best... More

My wife and I have enjoyed Hahndorf Hill wine in some restaurants so we were excited to visit their cellar door when we were in town. Whilst the room and the outlook are both delightful, I found the overall experience to be a bit of a let-down. There were quite a few unavailable wines on the list which begged the... More

Dear Rikki, Thank you for visiting our cellar door and for your complimentary words on our ambience and surroundings. I am sorry you were disappointed in having to pay our $5 tasting charge upfront, but the reason we request this is because it facilitates the redemption process on our till when wine is bought afterwards. The reason our tasting notes... More

While I'm not usually a big fan of having to pay for wine tasting, this winery is worth it. The wine is delicious and the people working there are friendly, funny and ver knowledgeable. Great place.

We loved the Chocovino experience which is matching wines with chocolates! They have a wonderful and instructive story as they go, and it's truly enjoyable. Really nice winery, nice views, fabulous staff - get the Veltliner it's their specialty and really different, they've made a real effort to offer up a nice Austrian style white and it's worth it!

Whether you participate in the chocolate and wine pairing, enjoying a cheese platter with a wine flight, or simply try some of the unique wine varieties on offer at the cellar door, this is sure to delight. We'll be back 👍

This was the first place we went on our recent visit to Adelaide staying in nearby Hahndorf. Friendly welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Pleasant cellar door and got great advice on other local places to try particular styles of wine making. Highly recommend.

Hahndorf hill came to us on a recommendation and it really stood up to the hype. We went to do the chocovino experience, where artisan chocolates are paired with wines from the hahndorf hill winery. Wow! I'm not much of a chocolate lover generally, particularly dark chocolates, but I surprised myself by doing the red/rose/white paired with dark chocolates. The... More
