The flight over Wilpena Pound gives you a great perspective of the area. On the ground the scenery and colour is wonderful. Great gumtrees, stunning rock formations and the outstanding wildlife, including the yellow footed rock wallaby. Another place in Australia that is worth the effort to see.

This area is an absolute must!!!!!! Fantastic scenery, wildlife and atmosphere. There is good signage to navigate yourself around wether your driving or walking. There are many easy walks for children or people who have less mobility up to more demanding ones. In the Pound itself there is a very good information centre, café, small supermarket and fuel

The weather was very hot (40+degrees) most days. We were camping and were concerned about the heat before we left however it turned out fine. We just drove in our air conditioned Jeep in the heat of the day and explored the surrounding areas. Plenty of things to do.

Our tour of Wilpena Pound and surrounding Ranges was wonderful, with very interesting scenery, warm weather and largely uncrowded roads. Be prepared to get a little dusty as most of the roads to the interesting attractions are dirt, which in my opinion adds to the appeal, I hope they NEVER seal them.

This is a must see destination for anyone travelling in Australia. The scenery is stunning, animals and birds are everywhere and it is a significant indigenous region too! So much to do and explore, you wont be disappointed!

The pound is a place to walk, sit and allow yourself to detox from the day to day. Down tech and get back to the amazing Wonder's of nature.

We spent an afternoon at Wilpena walking into the Pound. Saw emus everywhere and the views across the Pound from the lookouts are great. The walk in along Wilpena Creek is very enjoyable with huge river red gums and emus at every turn.

That magical place makes you wonder why you did not arrive earlier. Stunning views, many native animal sightings and how spoiled are we to be allowed experiencing things like this.
