Really peaceful

The day I went it was so peaceful. Kids were swimming in the pool attached to the falls and yes, it was still peaceful.
Picnic area on the landing above. Perfect spot for a day out with the family for lunch/dinner and a swim

Lovely falls with short walks nearby

Lovely falls. There’s an outdoor education centre there which is only for bookings. The upside is that there’s lots of parking and toilet facilities. Short walks suitable for families. Thus isn’t a place to be away from people though.

Been here before, will come again. Love the place even if it is too cold to swim. The circuit walk always has some native wildlife to see.

Picnic Spot

Nice swimming hole in a very green rainforest. Chilly to swim in winter. Nice grounds for a picnic. Have been here many times over the years and is a nice stop on a Tablelands driving circuit.

An easy fall to visit

Yes, there are falls that are more impressive in the region, but what I like about this is the close proximity to the car park, the uniform stairs down to the falls in a short distance, and the water being dammed so that people can choose to swim here. I like the Aboriginal mosaic in the carpark and the plaque at the entry dedicated to the settlers in the region.

Great falls and easy walk to see for anyone. Not far to drive from Atherton and combine drive with other Falls in area. Well worth seeing. Even if a rainy day the waterfalls are a doable activity in the area.

Worth stopping for

This is worth stopping at as it's right next to the road. If the falls are not heavy the sound of the road kind of ruins the moment. So many better falls around to see that are away from the road. The best thing about Malanda Falls is the walking track right next to it. Beautiful huge black bean and other trees to enjoy and if you are lucky a tree kangaroo too.

Very short walk to Malanda Walls but Rainforest Walk was great

Went to Malanda Falls which was only a short walk from car park, and took some nice photos. Them crossed over the road and did the 1km Rainforest Walk, which was lovely. We were rewarded with some great photos of turtles swimming in the water.

Get what you pay for

Nice looking fall and right off the road, so no 40km dirt road and half hour climb. Probably good swimming hole if you're inclined.
