Took the long way to Stanthorpe and added in a half hour extra drive so we could go to Queen Mary Falls. A great detour. Just did the 40 minute walk around the falls circuit. Pretty easy walk. Lots of stairs at the start/end of the walk - go left first then you're walking down the stairs at the start rather than up them at the end! Gradual slope up at the end is much nicer.
Beautiful falls - can do a shorter walk to just go to the top of the falls and back if someone can't do the stairs.

Queen Mary falls are a very short driving distance out of the little township of Killarney (also well worth a look around). It’s only a few minutes walk from the car park to the falls, and - if it has been raining over recent weeks - the falls are most impressive. A very lovely setting in natural bush country. Grab a coffee at the adjacent cafe!

What fabulous walk with beautiful pathways to see the falls from the top and all the way to the bottom. Luckily we had so much rain the 48 hours prior that the water fell spectacularly. Cannot fault this experience.

If you like driving then a day trip to the Queen Mary Falls is for you.

It's an over two hour drive from Brisbane and part of the journey involves some very winding and steep roads and at the time of year we went a couple of shallow creek crossings. I found it a fun drive, but be prepared for hair-pin bends and narrow roads.

When you get there you'll find a lovely picnic ground and a very pretty and scenic walk.

Unfortunately the weather was not the best so we could only do the upper circuit but got some good photos and movies of the fall. On the brighter side the bad weather allowed for plenty of water falling. Looking forward to going back and walking the lower circuit.

Queen Mary Falls is located a short distance from Killarney on a spectacular sealed road drive. A large parking and picnic area is adjacent to the road with a cafe/caravan park across the road: look out for the masses of colourful birds here. There is a 2km circuit track in excellent condition to view the falls, which is steep in some sections.

Car park for the falls is about 11km up a decent sealed climb from Killarney. Worth it! Picnic ground with lots of tables & benches, fast food outlet across the road smelled amazing. Falls are a short walk on bitumen path with several stunning lookouts. There’s a longer walk to the bottom of the falls for the adventurous. Brilliant!

Views are excellent good walk as long as you read the signs
Stunning falls enjoyable walk. We will be back
Once done take a walk across the road to the cafe. A surprisingly good range of food and good gluten free food options. Food was very good

Lovely short walk to the top of the falls. Great picnic spot also for another day. Would like to venture to the bottom of the falls next time, but we had our dog with us. Will go back when we have more time and no dag.

Turned off the highway and drove for half an hour or more. Finally arrived at the car park and saw the sign stating it was in a national park and no dogs allowed. It was too hot to leave the dog in the car so we left with out seeing the falls.
