Good food, Great staff, Excellent coffee.
Most relaxing. Lots of free parking. Ideally located.
We were travelling and feeling weary and hungry stopped at this establishment for nourishment and a look around.

Fresh fruit and great coffee.

Great place to stop and have a coffee and buy some very fresh fruit. The big Orange 🍊 exhibit is worth a look and parking is easy for caravans.

Great little stop
Jul 2021
Our group of 10 recently stopped for coffee and toasties at the Big Orange. Really delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice also on offer. Where there was nothing else open this was our stop (Sunday morning). High recommend people do visit The Big Orange. Not only was it very interesting, but also you can buy local produce as well as other goodies. A 'must do' if you visit Gayndah.

Yummy lunch and coffee, a nice quick stop!
Jul 2021 • Couples
Yummy wraps and burgers, fresh juice, coffee and local produce for sale in store. A great place to pull up for a quick bite when traveling through Gayndah. Just look for the big orange and coffee flags! :)

Great scones, sweet mandarines
Jun 2021 • Couples
Although no decaf coffee or chai the scones with jam & cream were the very best and went down well with my pot of tea. The big mandarines were sweeter than the smaller. Would go back for more. Was amazed at all the mandarines on the ground under the trees in the orchard!

Loved the burger!
May 2021 • Couples
Called in for a look and decided to order the works burger, what a surprise!
Finished off with an ice cream.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.

We will be back to try the scones soon.

For the enthusiasts
Oct 2020
Big Things have been called outdoor cultural objects which serve to construct and assert the identity of a town or area, and they have also been described as one of Australia's most distinctive home-grown forms of folk art. (The term "outdoor cultural object" was coined in the 2004 publication "Monumental Queensland: Signposts on a Cultural Landscape" by Lisanne Gibson and Joanna Besley.) The Big Orange of Gayndah is one of the five Big Oranges listed in Australia and the largest of three Big Oranges in Queensland.

Great Stop-over Cafe for a Break: Divine Scones!
Oct 2020
We stopped at Gayndah's Big Orange Cafe as we noticed the Big Orange outside. Unfortunately it wasn't orange season to buy oranges or I would have bought some. The staff person (a New Zealander) was extremely helpful, chatty and informative about the area - it was part of a citrus orchard. Pumpkins from Ban Ban were for sale, and I like buying local produce to take home. There was printed information inside the Big Orange for tourists. The coffee was good but the scones were the best thing, really fresh and yummy, the best I have tasted for a long time. I would recommend stopping here travelling the Burnett Highway-even if the oranges aren't in season.

Fabulous and satisfying.

For the best takeaway or sit in; FOOD in Gayndah try the Big Orange, on the southern entrance into town.

Food is tasty, fresh and very reasonable prices.

Owner/Cooks are super friendly and welcoming.

Easy to park and great service.
They have a great stock of handmade sauces, jams, pickles and local honey.

After trying all the others in town...I don't go anywhere else.

Lovely fresh local oranges
Jul 2020
Friendly, helpful staff, made us feel welcome straight away. We were offered some fresh orange wedges to sample from their orange orchard so we could decide which oranges to buy. The store is clean and well presented with lots of food items for sale. Located right on the highway at the entrance to Gayndah township so it is very convenient. Plenty of onsite parking too.
