We were in Cains for a week and decided to take a trip up to the Daintree. The drive is a little windy in parts but it is not difficult. It costs about $30 to cross on the car ferry and you are virtually straight into another world. We checked out all the free walks on the map and found... More

After the ferry the road is very curvey, but if you stick to it, it gets much better the further you drive. The road has some great ocean views. The rain forest is amazing. Be sure and go on some of the walks. At the end the beach is beautiful. We had a great time doing this at our own... More

The drive in is spectacular to Cape Tribulation. Once there everything is easy to access and made for wheelchairs to. The beach is like being on an Island in the middle of nowhere. We saw many butterflies as we walked around.

Great day In the reason forest. Lots of board walks and lovely beaches. Unfortunately did not see any crocs our casawara. Not for the want of looking. It did train but when you are in the forest you hardly notice. Excellent

Beautiful area.Enjoyed a walk along the beach in Cape Tribulation and a drive up to the area. Make sure to take bug spray and sunscreen and rain coat!

The rainforest was stunning and worth the drive and ferry trip. The ferry was super efficient and the beaches were spectacular. Great day trip from Port Douglas.

This was a total waist of time . Only one trail available of more then 2 km . Absolutly no wildlife near those trails . Always raining in april . Went to Costa Rica two years ago ten times more to see there in same period.

We decided to take a couple of drives up to the Daintree from Port Douglas. Despite the rain we still enjoyed the visits between showers. Well worth the visit

Took a tour out of Cairns into the Daintree, had a good look around and even had a boat ride down the river, it was the heaviest rain I had seen for a long time, but still got out there, we saw two crocs in the river, which was lucky. This is a beautiful area and a must see if... More

Well worth spending a day or two exploring the hikes, beaches and rain forest flora and fauna. I only wish we had more time to explore.
