The day we went out with Pete from Paddletrek, it was raining. Who would have thought that kayaking in the rain could be such a wonderful experience. With the Daintree in the background, clouds rolling across the rain forest and a lonely eagle flying above...More

Thanks Paddletrek for the great time out on the water. By a stroke of luck I was the only kayaker booked in for the morning trip and despite a strong wind warning and decent swell, Davage made me feel confident that I was in safe...More

There was the satisfaction of actually kayaking 8 km in the ocean, rather than passively sitting in another tourist bus!; there was the mesmerising beauty of pristine uninhabited Snapper Island and the time to explore without a crowd ; there were the turtles and sting...More

It was raining/cloudy the day we went kayaking, so no real sunset for us (it did clear up just as our paddle started, so still good weather!), but still a really nice paddle! It was nice and chilled, plenty of time to just sit in...More

First and foremost, our kayak guide was brilliant. His name escapes me but he was an ex-builder whose knowledge of the Daintree and surrounding areas was impeccable. I learnt so much, and he went far beyond what I expected from a morning of kayaking. Secondly,...More

Hi, yes there are crocodiles here and until recently they didn't pose a threat to our tours. We are not running tours at the moment though because of increased risk and safety concerns.
