Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched...

Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. This half day eco tour visits two different snorkel destinations, each with an extraordinary array of marine life and coral species. The tour begins at Cape Tribulation beach where guests board the vessel bound for the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef. After an exhilarating fast ride of approximately 25 minutes guests are ready to snorkel two fabulous locations at Mackay and Undine Reefs. On most days the rainforest can be seen along the mainland beach whilst snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, home to an abundance of marine life as well as beautiful hard and soft corals. The Ocean Safari vessel takes a maximum of 25 passengers allowing guests to experience tropical paradise and the pleasure of a small group. The vessel is based on the original design of a rescue craft and is a rigid inflatable boat driven by 700hp engines. The experienced Skipper and Eco Host ensure the trip is filled with fun and appreciation of the Great Barrier Reef and the coastal rainforest of the Daintree, two world heritage areas side by side. Magical memories like these sometimes only happen once in a lifetime. The Ocean Safari check in office is at the Turtle Rock Cafe and Jungle Lodge, Cape Tribulation Road and a courtesy bus pick up from Cape Tribulation accommodation is included. Ocean Safari has Advanced Eco Accreditation.

We had a great time with Ocean Safari. The boat is a high powered part inflatable, and has you out on the reef in ~25 minutes. Most of the snorkelling is in quite shallow water, which made the weaker swimmers amongst our group feel more comfortable. The coral was great - and there was plenty of marine life to look... More

This is a fantastic experience. A quick trip on the powerful boat and you're ready to snorkel the wonderful reef system. Both the guide and the driver were good fun and the guide was very knowledgable. Would definitely recommend this trip

Had a great afternoon out with Ads and Dave. Saw a turtle, reef shark, loads of giant clams and a lot of gorgeous fish. The coral was lovely and the boat ride was made incredibly fun for all. A great experience- don't miss it!

Amazing scenery bellow the waves, even though it was a rainy day the visibility was 10/10 and the ocean creatures abundant huge green turtles, Moray eel, octopus, dolphins and fish galore!!!! The crew were fantastic and very friendly. Such a pleasure to have a little peak into one of the world's most prescious attributes. North Queensland you guy's rock!!!!😉

Happy to be another 5 star reviewer. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 12 yo and 14yo) went out Mid-June. It rained so hard on our way up from Port Douglas I didn't know if this was a good idea. Turns out the rain stopped in time for us to check in. While it remained overcast for most of the... More

A highlight of our week in Cape Tribulation. Friendly, helpful staff from start to finish of the experience. Very pleased to have had my second reef experience with this company as enjoyed it so much more than the first - smaller boat (less people), the only people snorkelling the reef, only 25 mins boat ride to the reef, a full... What a sensational experience to be near picturesque sandy cays in a remote part of the reef and snorkel beneath the surface of crystal clear water to discover such an array of colourful creatures: coral, giant clams, vibrant blue starfish and schools of colourful fish..and I actually stroked a turtle as it glided past me! I would definitely put this... More

Best reef experience imaginable! It was 25+ knots, but boy was the ride there and back fun!! The marine life on Mackay reef is out of this world, and seeing whales on the way home was pure bliss. Ads and Dave were fantastic and Kellie is a star. Thanks team, you are just tops!! :)

We loved this. Something for everyone. A fantastic speed experience as our skipper (having as much or more fun as the rest of us) flew through the waves to get us there. And the snorkel didn't disappoint. Such a beautiful, colourful array of fish and coral - with the odd turtle coasting along beside you if you were lucky. Big... More
