The Blackwater International Coal Centre is a prominent landmark situated in the heart of the Central Highlands. Our Interpretive Centre showcases 20 interactive museum exhibits that explore the past, present and future of Coal mining. The Coal Centre Cafe located directly opposite the Museum offers a delicious range of Toasted Sandwiches, Raisin Toast, Fresh Scones and 'we reckon' the best Coffee in town! The Centre also provides well-facilitated training rooms suitable for various group sizes up to 100 people seated. We also offer catering packages from fresh lunches and tea break options. Price lists available on request. The Blackwater International Coal Centre is a great place for visitors and the community alike. Come and relax in our Japanese Gardens, sit back with a coffee while the kids play in our indoor and outdoor playground or come and enjoy a movie during our school holiday and special event screenings. To find the Blackwater Coal Centre is easy, stay on the Capricorn Highway and look out for the BIG RED Dragline Buckets! Caravan Parking available off Littlefield Street.

Basically, like most others that stop here, it is usually for smoko/lunch at Subway. Plenty of parking and easy access.
