After a late decision Saturday night to drive down to the Peninsula from Melbourne for Sunday lunch at a Winery I struggled to find a booking. Only 2 places had availability but the menu called me to book The Cups Estate.

We were not disappointed. We arrived 1/2 an hour early hoping to sample the Cellar Door which unfortunately was not running but we were seated for our lunch booking straight away. Great service.

This is a boutique winery and has a lovey ambience and view. The Chef's set menu is enough to make this Winery a visit in its own right though. 6 dishes served over 2 courses tapas style. Each dish was amazing in it's own right but complemented each other perfectly too. Standouts were the Calamari Taco for my husband and the Chicken with mushroom & truffle stuffing for myself. Even my husband who doesn't like truffle said it was amazing. We could not fault any dish, the Sfinci (Sicilian donuts) were a perfect end to the meal. We sampled the Sparkling Shiraz during lunch which was great, unfortunately not available to buy :( , along with the Cuvee, Rose and Pinot Gris which we purchased to take away.

We took our drinks outside after the meal to enjoy the lovely view on the grass (rug provided by the winery, again, great service) in the late afternoon sun, perfect end to a lovely afternoon. We will be back.

We had a 5 course set menu lunch for a party of 10. Omg what a magnificent 5 courses they were! Every dish was presented beautifully and the flavours were out of this world. Team this with lovely bottles of Syrah, a wonderful view over the olive groves, a really nice ambiance and friendly helpful staff. What more could you ask for to enjoy a lovely day out. We will definitely be returning to The Cups Estate!

The food was most decadent. $65 set menu what unbelievable value for money. I’m extremely fastidious with food and I can tell you whoever your chef is , he/she is first class, don’t let them go!. The flavours came together so well, I enjoyed every single mouthful from beginning to end. The service was equally impressive. Thanks for accomodating our young son with an outdoor table. Little gestures are so powerful. Keep up the great work team. We will be back.

A beautiful little restaurant for anything between a wine tasting, cheese and meats, and a full lunch. Stunning menu with dishes created to be shared, and amazing wines to go with. Lovely staff and great ambiance. Calamari Tacos are a must! Definitely will come again

We finished off at Trail Rides and headed to The Cups Estate for a lunch (we purchased the Ride, Dine & Bathe package at the time of booking Trail Rides). The staff at Trail Rides told us to go directly to the winery for a lunch and everything should be ready, however, this was not the case. When we arrived at The Cups Estate, the waitress left us there for 10 minutes with no greetings, no eye contacts, nothing. And when she finally started talking to us, she told us there were no table booked under our name and we should have called the winery beforehand. She told us generally the restaurant is fully booked at least 3 weeks in advance and she could only arrange a table for us to sit outside. She also had to call Trail Rides to confirm our booking before serving us.
The whole process took at least 30 minutes to be sorted and we were left standing at the front bar with no one looking after us. The waitress was very arrogant, with no smile, seems not liking us or maybe thought we were trying to fool her, or maybe simply racism cuz we are Asian. Nothing were mentioned at time of booking that we should call restaurant to book a table, simply charged my $500 and emailed us with information about riding only. I also checked bookings for The Cups online, noticed that you actually dont need to book 3 weeks in advance (actually less than a week).

Put simply, if you dont want your holiday being ruined, dont purchase the package anywhere because they don't look after you well.

I had the pleasure of being treated to a day full of activities on my 25th birthday by my lovely partner, which landed us at The Cups Estate for a wine tasting and tapas.
The level of service we received from a man who I assume was a manager left us both feeling semi humiliated and frustrated. We spent quite a bit of money, and having just come from a horse ride, were not overly dressed up. We were ignored, didn't even get to have a full wine tasting and to make it worse as we were trying to pay the bill, the man serving us (manager?) ignored my partner when he tried to compliment the food, picked up the phone to make a call and barely even made eye contact.
I don't understand how someone can treat other people like this. We may not be the customer you are used to but aren't we entitled to a nice experience as well? This experience left us feeling a little low on a day that was meant to be amazing.
He really should be ashamed of himself.

After a lovely day at the hot springs we visited this lovely looking winery. The view and entire setting was beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer but we were put off by the very rude and disengaged manager. Don't work with the public if you don't like people! We ended up having a lovely experience elsewhere. And they got an awesome review.

Read reviews of the 2 cups and decided to take my finance down for lunch and tastings. When arriving sign said open for tasting everyday nothing indicating they were closed. When going inside was refused service due to filming and to come back in a few hours mind you it was already 1pm. Did not feel welcome and was dismissed very quick. Felt very embarrassing. Won't be returning ever again.

Delicious food but don’t choose the chefs choice at $60 per diner. Definitely not value for money. Pick your own dishes off the menu. We were a party of four adults and chose the chefs choice which consists of 6 different dishes which are on the menu. One serve each of Scallops, calamari tacos, croquettes, pork belly bao, piece of lamb rump and the pumpkin dish. Not overly filling and on reflection certainly didn’t add up to $60 per diner. We then had to pay extra for a dessert and the wine.
Restaurant is also awfully noisy so on a nice day would ask to sit outdoors. The wait staff were lovely

Lunch was delicious, especially the chorizo and the cheeses. The wine was good: taste the Pinot noir, it is exceptional.
