We visited the bathhouse sanctuary section for a girls weekend getaway. We loved the experience of covering each other with mud in the haman and enjoyed the outdoor pools. They have a cold (Very cold) cool down pool which was great when we needed to cool down from the variety of hot pools and the steam room. Massages were blissful!!!... More

We chose Hepburn for my partners birthday holiday so that we could have an adult holiday without our child to enjoy pampering at different day spas, mineral springs, facials and massages. I read a lot of mixed reviews about the Bathhouse so I decided not to try their massages and food packages. I booked the Bathhouse & Sanctuary 2 hr... More

After reading some of the other reviews I can see where they are coming from, I was after a little escape so booked an afternoon at the Bathhouse, when booking i inquired to which days are normally quiet ( Friday is the tip! ) but the Monday suited better. We had the Sanctuary package which was a little pricey at... More

We regularly visit the Peninsula hot springs but decided to try something different and go to Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa for a mid-week getaway. We paid just under $150 for mid-morning entry to the bathhouse and sanctuary on a Wednesday (I understand the cost is higher on weekends & busy periods). On entering the establishment we were both surprised at... More

A month in advance, my partner and I booked the couple retreat for ~$500 to treat ourselves to a romantic night away. The package included a Moroccan milk private couples bath, 1 hour massage, steam room and Devonshire tea. On the day of our massage, we travelled 5 hours to get to the spa. In the morning I was called... More

We had a nice and relaxing 2 hours (that's all you get as stressed by reception staff, but all you need as well) in the baths. We booked the sanctuary for $89 pp, and to be honest I expected a bit more. The bathhouse+ Sanctuary is more like a luxury swimming pool. If you go to just the bathhouse, I... More

Me and another pal got the day retreat package as recommended by the staff. Initially, we were quite reluctant to pay such a huge sum (for full access to all facilities + massage/facial + lunch platter) but after the whole treatment we felt it was worth it. We went during the weekend so we were mentally prepared to share the... More

We specifically stayed in Hepburn Springs to try the Bath house and Spa. Sadly on entry we were told it was closed, we could part with lots more money for the fancy treatment but not the regular pool. Would have been nice if the tourist centre or web-site had told us in advance. Disappointed.

With no warning at the Tourist Office or online that we saw, the Bathhouse (public pool I am assuming) was too cold to enter on Monday afternoon. As the song goes 'we may never pass this way again'....very disappointed (especially as I have been unwell and was looking forward to the healing qualities.)

It's apparent from the Google reviews as well as what has been written on here that this place has some major problems. It amazes me that they can still keep scamming money off people. The whole service is dependent on having a functioning hot water boiler and it appears that they don't have one. We went yesterday and the Bathhouse... More
