We had a wonderful time geocaching. Brendan provided us with really clear instructions at the beginning which was great for the children. It was actually quite a rainy day, but we were dressed accordingly and to be honest made it more fun for the kids. We were split into two teams which created a friendly bit of competition to be the first team to solve the puzzle.

I highly recommend this activity for school groups, birthday parties, sporting clubs, business conferences or any sort of team building activity.

Our family forest walk on gently inclining terrain good and challenging enough for us. Our guide Brendan gave us an insightful introduction into Wombat State Forest. He showed e.g. wombat holes, 'art works' and once I could hear a kookaburra laughing in the background. Midway at the Bullarto Reservoir a moment of rest on a picnic rug in a peaceful and scenic setting. Thanks to you Brendan, it was not only an outdoor experience, but finally a proper bush walk for us.

Brendan went above and beyond to help me turn my secret forest walk into my engagement proposal. We follow various locations guided by a gps and a treasure hunt untill we arrived at a jetty with most amazing view of daylesford lake where i proposed to my partner. The gps then guided us to a secret location where brendan had pre set up a picnic for my partner and i to go and celebrate our engagement. We continued the rest of the treasure hunt it took us to places i wouldn't of found on my own. My experience was seriously amazing i highly recommend this tour to anyone engagement or not its so much fun 😁

Had such a wonderful time on this walk, organised by Brendan. We had a party of 11, and opted for the Bullarto long walk (approx. 11km) and a picnic lunch catered by local cafe Spade to Blade. It was a freezing day with gentle mist, but this honestly didn’t detract from how lovely it was and what a great activity this was! Great for social distancing and fresh air in the time of COVID-19, and the walk was perfect for our group. The picnic was absolutely delicious, and they were able to plentifully cater for some vegans and vegetarians in our group. Brendan set this up for us, and met us about two hours into the hike with hot soup and so much food we could barely walk the rest of the way! Thanks to Brendan from all of us- I know they could easily cater for shorter walks and I would absolutely recommend this for anyone (local or from abroad) looking for a way to explore local food and nature!

Thanks very much Emma I personally think this is the best time of the year in the forest, so it was great to host you and your lovely friends for the walk. Spade to Blade catering in Daylesford and Secret Forest Walks definitely make a pretty good combination. I will pass on your compliments to the chef. All the best with your current and future developments. Cheers Brendan

I was looking for an outdoor activity to do with my two 10 year olds. The treasure hunt activity was an absolute winner. Something different. Brendan was punctual, excellent with the kids and accompanied us to the first post and then watched us from afar to the second post to make sure we knew how to operate the handheld GPS unit. But it was easy to operate anyway. It took us about 90 minutes to complete and covered 5.5k on mostly flat track. A few steep hills to climb to find some posts but these were very short (30 metres or so). Along the way, we got to taste some spring water hand pumped straight from underground and Brendan even supplied us with some paper cups. We solved the puzzle and were rewarded with some treasure. Kids loved it. Highly recommended. Best thing was to
see the kids getting back to nature and away from technology.

Thanks for your enthusiastic and personally quite heart-warming review Steve. Arousing curiosity and joyful endeavour in kids in the open air is to a large degree the raison d'etre of the whole thing. Cheers.

Had an amazing morning doing the GPS Treasure hunt around Lake Daylesford with my family and friends.
Brendan was a wonderful host. He was very informative and explained the process very clearly.
This allowed our older children to take charge in small groups and to lead the younger ones.
Everyone had an amazing time and as a bonus we got out and about, had some fresh air and got lots of steps in.
Highly recommend if you are traveling to Daylesford.

As a team looking to get to know each other better and understand each other's strengths, the Forest Walk Treasure Hunt was a fun and engaging activity! It was a lovely way to enjoy some fresh air, collaborate to find the markers and solve the clues along the way in order to open the safe at the end. Fun for all ages, and great as a team building exercise. Thanks Brendan - thoroughly enjoyed by all!

Our already amazing annual staff day was made even better with the addition of Secret Forest Walks activities with Brendan and team. It's a challenge wrangling a group of 75 people but the day went off without a hitch. Beautiful weather, friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides plus the amazing Hepburn backdrop made for a special day. Brendan is helpful, organised and very professional - highly recommend Secret Forest Walks for all groups big and small.

Thank you very much for the great feedback, Helen. Conducting multiple activities with such a large group was a new challenge, but it all worked beautifully. Having a great team to start with always an important factor though. Cheers Brendan

My friend and I decided to organise surprise outings for each other. I chose to head to Daylesford and was excited by the prospect of a 'secret' forest walk. Brendan did not disappoint. We met at the lake and he explained everything in detail. It was a cool, rainy day, but thankfully, we did not have to walk in much rain, although it was pretty wet underfoot (hiking boots were a saviour for me!), using the GPS meant that we were able to negotiate the forest paths and undergrowth very well. The four of us (two couple) were alone in the magical forest, it was a delightful experience, which I would highly recommend!

A really fun activity, a bit out of the box and a perfect way to spend a sunny day! We had a great time on our treasure hunt, and Brendan was a great host. His instructions were clear and helpful and the hiding spots were just difficult enough to keep the whole thing interesting. 10/10 would do again (and will!). Pricing was very reasonable as well.
While we didn't have this experience, Brendan also organises proposal walks as well which are equally well-planned and wonderful.

Hi Grace. Thanks for your lovely review. Great too hear that the Treasure Hunt had just the right level of challenge and I look forward to seeing you again. Coincidently, the previous review was of the Proposal Edition. It speaks for itself. All the best. Brendan
