Had a wonderful day looking at the historic mine and the incredible foresight by Nordegg is a real testament to the man himself. Restoration projects by dedicated people (like Joe Baker) have secured a lot of the buildings for future generations. We enjoyed the old...More

Jaw dropping when you realize what was accomplished 80 years ago in the middle of the wilderness. If you like Alberta history this is well worth the time and monies. Lots of walking, uneven paths involved but guides are patient.

Always love going t9 the coal mine tours. Great details on the site and amazing real life equipment. All mine stuff is intact and it's a pretty cool tour. Worth the trip. And worth the few dollars a person.

The museum is filled with great pictures of the area from the early 1900's to 1960's. There is a nice lunch spot in the school house as well. Staff at the museum were friendly and helpful.
