Lovely small community pub, the locals are very friendly. They do meet raffles as well as other things, any profit is donated. Lovely place for a quiet drink.

Lovely little pub
Dec 2018 • Family
Although very small, it's a lovely little pub. Very cosy with a nice atmosphere. The barmaid was very friendly. There's darts available and a juke box, which kept us very entertained for a couple hours. The locals seem very friendly here too. As a cat lover, I was very pleased when I spotted that they have a pub cat (named Smirnoff). It was so fluffy & very cute! Overall we had a lovely evening here. Will definitely come again next time we're visiting our family, who live nearby!

Smaller pub than it used to be
Oct 2018 • Friends
This appears to be the only pub currently left open in Ashurst Wood and it’s only one small bar in a larger building. It’s very friendly with a adventurous cat for entertainment. The Harvey’s bitter was good and was being enjoyed by some locals on a Saturday afternoon. They do a selection of food as well. Unfortunately some families turned up with hordes of small kids which turned the place into a nursery, at which point we decided to leave.

What a Local is supposed to be !
Sep 2018 • Family
Yes, its small, but perfectly formed for the size of the Village. It is now serving all day breakfast (you had better be hungry), fresh coffee and and bar sandwiches. On a Sunday the locals have a meat raffle for charity and cheese and crackers on the bar.
The Guinness is great and the local ale is very well kept. The very small outside area faces due South, perfect. Just like this pub.

A village pub in Ashurstwood
Apr 2016 • Couples
A pub that is the size of your living room set in Ashurstwood
A typical local village pub
With mostly local people visiting
No food available or parking
But a friendly place to visit
