NT property, good place to wander around, helpful volunteers. See website for more but if dry enough plenty of woodland walks around and down to reservoir.

Standen House has to be one of the best National Trust Houses we have ever visited. It gives the feeling that the family still live there - it's large and it's grand, but a real family home. Highly recommended. The grounds are delightful and an...More

The sort of house I'd be very happy to live in. Warm and atmospheric with plenty to look at. We loved the William Morris textiles and wallpaper. Good cafe and pretty gardens.

Went on a Sunday, got there early, had a great day out. Lovely house with a "lived in" ambience, and lots of gardens and grounds to walk around. Played Croquet too!!

This would be a great day out for all ages. Games on the lawn, including croquet. Lovely kitchen garden, with fresh produce in the cafe. The house is lovely, very homely and not pretentious. Lots to see and do in the garden.

On a sunny/dry day you could spend most of the day there. House is small but beautiful but the grounds are large with walks and ideal for a picnic. Hope that helps 😊
