A brilliant local museum with a lot of information to hand
Sep 2015 • Couples
This title is the same as "The Kegworth Museum" and merely reflects the Museum is run by the Village Association. They are one of the same. I have copied into this heading my review of The Kegworth Museum
This small museum is run by volunteers & as such has limited opening hours, which at the moment are weekends only. Admission is free. Clearly a lot of work has gone into this local resource of information, with static displays of old stocking making machinery, various items relating to The Local British Legion, local Carnival Queen and life in the village schools pre 1900. Displays of how an old house / kitchen might have looked & a lot of census information going back many years. Historic lace -making is also featured on an automated basis & final the men who went to war are fondly remembered in a local book & various displays.

A small but intersting museum
Aug 2014 • Friends
I am 80 years of age and this small museum was filled with nostalgia. Everyone on our coach found it a pleasure to visit. Although it is on two floors there is no lift, but even with my mobility problems I managed to see it all. One of the best points about it was that you were able to pick up some of the objects and examine them closely ( not something you can do much these days). The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful.
