Behind Strut's Mill you come across some very nice gardens with a large ornamental pool and bandstand. To the top corner is the playground and a cafe that is half built. The cafe looks like it will be very nice when completed so we may well re-visit when its open. The gardens open straight out onto the river so you do need to watch over smaller children.

It is a nicely laid out garden but the timing of our visit coincided with restrictions due to C19 and so the place was in need of a bit of attention. And the mill next door detracts a bit. Worth a visit if you live close by... but only next summer perhaps.

Beautiful setting for wedding photos. Lovely kept gardens with a stunning bandstand. The local history is also of interest.

We went to the park on the way to matlock. its small i couldn't believe you actually had to pay for parking. The park is good for little ones and big ones the rocks are great and it looks very well kept and clean and tidy. Easily could spend an hour with the kids. And feed the ducks. Pros Clean and tidy. Parks good for both young children and a bit older. Ducks. Cons Paying for parking. The toilets was locked.

It was a fab sunny day when we went which made the walk more pleasant. The walk gives you great views of the mill and there are some great photo opportunities! Place to stop if you wanted to take a picnic. Worth a wander if you are in Belper.
