Great cinema. Booked the luxury seats which were really comfy with a slight recline, would highly recommend. No social distancing at all between guests though and unallocated seats so despite booking I could have ended up not sat with the rest of my party, luckily we managed to get seats together. Cinema times were a bit late too in my opinion - doors opened at 8, screen from 8.30 and film started at 9. The only other thing which I think let it down a little was poor range of snacks (but would be easy to rectify) and lack of cream for the filter coffee. There were snacks but nothing I fancied, could do with more crisps and some old fashioned confectionary etc to go with the cinema vibe. That said I would highly recommend it and it’s one of the best cinemas I’ve been too. Good quality picture and the sofa seats looked cute. You get a cushion too which is a nice touch.

Lovely purple seats, good range of films, you can get delicious cakes, and buy an alcoholic drink or a coffee.
It does get booked up in advance, but there’s often a few spare seats if you pop in or ring near to the day, and I’ve also been and waited to see if there are any seats on the day.
It’s really good value for money, and loads cheaper than the big mainstream cinemas.
Having more subtitled films and any audio
Described showings would make it more accessible.

We visited this cinema on a wet afternoon during our holiday to the area and we were pleased we did. What a lovely little cinema with great service too. The seats were super comfortable with cushions for support. We also enjoyed a glass of wine which was reasonable priced. The only thing missing was a seating plan and/or a way to choose seats. We would have liked 2 sofas but with no idea whether they would be together we didn’t bother and opted for the luxury seats instead. Great afternoon at the cinema :)

The website wasn't showing films after 30th Jan and so on Saturday I went in to see what's on Friday. They couldn't tell me as the brochure was not printed and said I should phone today. I've phoned dozens of times, but the line is busy... why don't they have online booking! Very very frustrating 🤔

Such a cosy cinema. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Our booking had been lost but staff compensated by moving us to luxury seats. All the seating is comfortable and facilities are well maintained. Good variety of hot/cold/alcoholic drinks plus a selection of snacks.

Forget Cineworld and all that garbage. This is the place. Brilliant atmosphere, exceptionally comfortable, superbly priced. To sit and watch a film away from home with a gin and tonic, glass of wine and a piece of home made cake in such comfort was mind blowing. It's just like a private club. Our first visit certainly not the last.

One of the very best ways to see a film - new or classic - is the Ritz Cinema in Belper.
Confortable seats, Good screen, excellent sound. Lovely refreshments you can take in to the auditorium. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely cinema - small, immaculate with friendly and helpful staff. Good, clear viewing and decent, comfortable seating - luxury seats, sofas or standard seats - which are still large and comfortable. Plus you can buy a glass of wine or a coffee/tea to enjoy whilst watching the movie. Great venue to visit.

Great venue, but sadly runied by the booking system.
Members can prebook without payment or deposit, this results in bookings being taken, so on paper it's full.
Then the prebookers don't turn up, it's half empty but you can't book prior if not a member.
As it's lottery and charity funded they don't care if it makes a loss, so often near empty but booked out.
Such a shame, just make it pay at booking and it's fair for all

Am I required to call to make a seating reservation, or can I simply walk in and buy them?
