Took a boat trip from Keswick especially to see the falls on recommendation of a friend
Arrived at the jetty after a pleasant boat trip and after a swift beer in the nearby spa hotel where we observed a wedding on a lovely sunny Saturday
Came out of the hotel and walked 200m to the path to the falls
A gentle assent through the woods but watch your footing as the tree roots are exposed in places
We could hear the water 💧 in the distance and were soon at the cascading falls for a group photo pic
One of our party had some walking difficulties so didn’t make the trip however it is not a difficult walk so most will enjoy the experience
Look out for an old log that has had hundreds of coins pushed into it. Very quaint.
The Falls are definitely worth seeing

Visited for a few days walking. Great location outside of Keswick with a big car park. Lots of investment in this property. Very comfy room, big bed, nice pillows, good temperature. They have some really good professional staff however the infrastructure/processes seems to work against them eg Ordered the duo of asparagus for dinner starter (roast asparagus and asparagus panna cotta) It arrived without the star of the show present (Panna cotta) - why was that OK to serve? The kitchen knew they couldn’t provide but still felt ok to send it out, repeated again when an ‘onion tarte with pickled cucumber’ was sent from the kitchen with sliced cucumber (no evidence of any pickling); Ordered drinks in the bar and Asian restaurant and got the wrong ones each time. A few waiting staff seem to be massively overworked with no back up and the wheels came off when the eat out to help out offer was on. Needs some serious work on processes and a rethink about how seriously they want to take vegetarian food.

The falls is directly behind the hotel bearing the same name. The walk to this place along Derwent water, that goes through beautiful woods, is just as good as the falls itself. An hour to see and take a walk nearby

Lots of great photos. We visited on a rainy day so the waterfall was in full flow. A very small National Trust car park nearby so only a short walk away. Nice to pop in and see but no more than a few hours needed here

Very poorly sign postage we had a job locating the trail. Difficult terrain and sadly only a trickle of water coming down. I would think after heavy rain the falls look brilliant. We were just unlucky.

Not a spectacular fall if you've travelled as we have to Krimml but nice for those who haven't experienced larger ones.

This is a lovely place to visit.
It is about a 10 minute walk from the roadside but is well worth it for the sight when you reach the waterfall.

The Lodore falls are immediately behind the hotel but there is another section high up which is reached by following the path which runs behind the hotel.
If you wish a good walk travel up the road by Ashness Farm (good place to stay), park at the surprise view and walk further along the road until a good path descends fairly quickly on the right-hand side. Cross the beck by the bridge and keep right. This will bring you to the upper falls and then the main fall. Walking is fairly easy.

A very moving feeling of calm. A sight of beauty. The falls are breathtaking and worth a visit. Plenty of small wildlife to see
