PLEASE NOTE THAT ALTHOUGH THE GARDENS ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK, THE HALL IS ONLY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON TUESDAYS, SUNDAYS AND BANK HOLIDAYS. Arley is a place of enormous character, charm and interest. Visitors are frequently struck by the warm and intimate atmosphere and the feeling that Arley is a much-cherished family home. The Gardens, which are amongst the finest in Britain, are outstanding for their vitality, variety and historical interest and are particularly celebrated for the magnificent double herbaceous border. The Hall is an impressive example of a Victorian country house built in the Elizabethan style.

A short walk from the car park brings you to the gift shop and admission desk, leading into a large court yard with usual toilet facilities. The gardens are very well maintained and offered a good display of colour. There are a few places to sit and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the gardens. We didn't go into the... More

I visited to Arley Hall and Gardens with my friend. We visited the gardens and the attended Walled Garden Theatre. There were no hold up on entering the Hall and Gardens and the car park was easy to access and park. The signage and rout were clearly identified to find your way round. The staff and people were most helpful... More

I visited Arley with friends to view the gardens and was very pleased with what we saw. I will be visiting again in the autumn to see the different plants and foliage.

Arley Hall was actually shut the day we went but the gardens Abbey and restaurant was all open and it was lovely to walk around. Lots of wicker and wire mesh sculpture to see and fantastic gardens and excellent colour in the gardens.

Came here on a sunny Saturday, and unfortunately weren't able to go in the Hall itself due to a wedding, but there was no disappointment as the gardens were beautiful (a particular highlight was the little, almost fairy-tale cottage). At a leisurely stroll, we spent a few hours walking round all the sections and the woodland. The cafe was also... More

While staying the other side of Chester we decided to go over to see this place and were not at all disappointed in our choice. The gardens are excellent and on the whole very well maintained. In the vegetable garden a crew were busy doing some much needed weeding but they had a good excuse in that they'd spent a... More

Absolutely beautiful gardens. The grounds are extensive so there is lots to see and explore, there are highly manicured areas but also wilder areas such as the woodland. The entrance fee for adults at £8.50 to see the gardens is quite expensive but as there is no car park charge it's not excessive. The food, service and prices at the... More

Had a lovely day strolling through Arley Hall gardens. It was a lovely day and the gardens were beautiful. One garden to another garden all flowed nicely and were all very different. Very peaceful and were sorry we didn't take a picnic. There is a cafe there with outdoor seating but not enough seats on a nice day. Nice walks... More

Attended an August wedding at Arley, really intimate venue with friendly attentive staff. Both the day time (main building) and evening (Olympia) buildings are beautiful and everything went smoothly with no hitches. Excellent food also.
