PLEASE NOTE THAT ALTHOUGH THE GARDENS ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK, THE HALL IS ONLY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON TUESDAYS, SUNDAYS AND BANK HOLIDAYS. Arley is a place of enormous character, charm and interest. Visitors are frequently struck by the warm and intimate atmosphere and the feeling that Arley is a much-cherished family home. The Gardens, which are amongst the finest in Britain, are outstanding for their vitality, variety and historical interest and are particularly celebrated for the magnificent double herbaceous border. The Hall is an impressive example of a Victorian country house built in the Elizabethan style.

The gardens are beautiful at any time of year especially the walled garden. The house has an intimate lived-in feel about it. I especially like the library. It's worth visiting at Christmas when the house is tastefully decorated.

I was very impressed with Arley Hall and Gardens. It is surrounded by beautiful, picturesque countryside, further magnified by the Autumn season. The entrance is impressive, with perfectly aligned trees and a clock tower. The gift shop and cafe are excellent. A wide range of home cooked food and selection of cakes. Also great selection of loose leaf teas served... More

Facebook showed 'Arley Autumn colour'. Really enjoyed gardens and lovely lunch in cafe. You can walk a long way or enjoy the gardens near the house. There are many benches in the garden. Length of visit - depends how much you want to see. Longer visit would involve more walking but there are lovely gardens near the house.

What a fantastic place to visit. The gardens are stunning. House not open on Saturdays so not seen that yet. The kids playground is brilliant for all ages. Quiet on a sunny Saturday in October. But the best bit is the cafe. Much better than national trust which has got a bit samey. This place really stands out. Not to... More

As National Trust regulars it is always interesting to see how the privately owned estates do things from time to time. Arley certainly has it all, big house, extensive grounds, restaurant, a church, shop and even a small nursery. The Hall wasn't open on the day of our visit but looked stunning from the outside. The surrounding gardens are an... More

Well worth a visit. House very historical with knowledgeable staff. Gardens a treat. Herbaceous border outstanding. Lovely lawns to sit by for a rest, wooded area and "wild area" to explore. In fact, something for everyone. Restaurant has a good range of snacks and meals, taste homemade... !!! No charge for parking.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon here wandering around the gardens . ( the hall is only open twice a week) The double herbaceous border was stunning . There was an informative board displaying the borders during different month with photos naming individual plants . This was very useful as I then had the option to buy some of them... More
