This was my second visit to this lovely little Zoo and once again we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Only down side was it seemed a little run down from my previous visit a few years ago, a lot of things overgrown, lots of nettles on the edge of the enclosures and the signposting was very poor, if I hadn't been before... The zoo was lovely to look around, we didn't arrive until 3.30pm on a sunday afternoon so only had an hour before it closed. But that was just enough time to have a quick look. There are lots of well kept animals here my 2 year old loved running to each enclosure to see what was there. There was one... More

This small zoo is good fun to wander round. There are lots of small animals and birds to have a look at and it is quite informative.

We visited the zoo with our 6 year old son. We've been here before and they've had an expansion. Lots of animals to see and the staff are very knowledgable. Try and visit on a sunny day so you can spend more time outside.

I loved this little zoo and so did the Grandchildren. Not too far for them to walk around and we enjoyed our picnic after. Will definitely go again.

Took the offspring for a walk around the zoo and for a picnic. It's compact yet plenty to see. No large animals (don't expect lions or elephant) but some very cute porcupine, otters and so on. The staff (students of the college) were friendly and helpful. In spring it's worth checking out the lambing shed days - the agricultural college... More

Went here with my son & his class mates for a school trip, the zoo was lovely lots of interesting animals to see & learn about & as it's only a small zoo we saw different animals than we would see at a bigger zoo they don't obviously have elephants & tigers but they have smaller animals that we would... Visited here a few times. Solo, family and friends. Don't expect a big zoo like Chester Zoo. This zoo is part of an agricultural college and is there for animal management education. Animal husbandry is excellent. There are rabbits, guinea pigs, amphibians, reptiles, fish - loved the jelly fish! Birds of prey, lemurs, marmosets, giant tortoise, horses, donkeys, goats, meerkats,... More

Visited the zoo as part of open farm Sunday where it was half price entry. Very well kept and tidy and clean facilities. Picnic benches available in the open space in the centre as well as dotted around the zoo. Lots of animals and reptiles. The outdoor space looks well maintained with a new path. Easy pushchair access. Just up... More
