Austins is a great place to pop in for a quick snack or meal. An old fashioned grocery shop is displayed inside and the dining area is in warm comfortable surroundings. Nice reasonably priced food and you pay when ordered so no tipping. You approach it through the grocers where you can also buy a good selection of local produce. Well worth a vist even if it is just for a pot of tea.

Doesn't matter when you go here , it has reliably tasty meals. The Cake /Desert selection is very hard to resist 🤩 Looking at the meat counter on my way out , I was reminded that they have a First Class Butchery , that I must use more !

Visiting the area and found this a lovely place to visit. Nice cakes and something to drink; but worth the visit just to look at the old grocery items. Very friendly staff and well worth the visit; if you need some proper shopping and something to eat and drink.

This is a one-off, the cafe is at the back of this long thin shop. Within the cafe is a recreation of an old grocers shop, with long window shopfront and door, with hundreds of old packets, grinding and slicing machines, sacks of produce and a couple of dummy shopkeepers. It really is quite unlike any other cafe. We had an excellent cup of coffee, good millionaires shortbread, and yummy slice of egg custard . The only thing missing is a window, being deep in the shop means there is only artificial light in there. An excellent find!

From the exterior this looks like a small grocer's/ delicatessen. This is definitely not like that. Inside it goes on and on. The butchers and deli were great and the displays of shops of yesteryear were reminiscent of The Castle Museum in York. It was fascinating and at the end was a great coffee shop. We were a family group and stopped for a light lunch which was delicious and the coffee alone was worth visiting for. We were only passing through Nantwich but we are planning a longer visit which will certainly include this super shop/cafe.
