This is a pretty spot and an ideal place for exercise for all abilities. A 10 minute stroll will take you once around the lake. This can be extended by walking further along the river and the energetic can even run! There is an on line leaflet available that outlines possible walks. The paths are well made up and accessible. There are picnic tables at the side of the lake. There is often a van on site selling teas, ices etc. My only complaint is that the car park is not really big enough for the number of visitors! It is a favourite spot of ours and we visit regularly.

A really nice short walk around the lake on a good wheelchair friendly path, there are lots of wildfowl to see with seats and picnic benches, if you are so inclined one can follow the riverside walk which continues along the river Weaver through the town as far as Reaseheath , probably about a mile and a half. There are lots of cafes and pubs in the town, which is well worth a visit in its own right.

This is a lovely lake on the edge of Nantwich. There are many ducks and swans to feed, and a great path to follow around the perimter and onto the adjoining paths through the country park into Nantwich town centre

It's not a destination place but if you are passing Nantwich it's a 15 min walk on good paths all round. You could use it as car park if visiting Nantwich as its about a 20 min walk into town and no parking charge.

The River Weaver and Nantwich Lake is a beautiful area full of wildlife with many water birds and paths and bridges through the tress and water. Right next to the town it is a lovely place to go for a quiet walk.

Lovely park setting with the river Weaver winding through. Swans, geese ducks. But don't feed them bread please.

This is a man man lake nothing in it due to it being salty.
Part of the Nantwich loop , lot of dogs though and some irresponsible owners who don’t clean up after them.
Used to be ice cream van all year round but seems to have move on since the snack van arrived.
Council made good job of paths last year, shame people don’t stick to them .
It’s a shared path for both cyclists and pedestrians and sign posted accordingly.
The lake is a designated wild bird area where dogs should be on leads again signage informs you of this unfortunately plenty of dog owners ignore this which has lead to some fatalities,
If you enjoy a walk it starts by the lake and goes along the river to the other side of town

The fine 2018 Summer was so great that my husband and I went there maybe 3 times a week to walk around the lake, eat ice cream and watch the swans and ducks at play

Tranquil spot on the outskirts of the town to take the family and the dog to walk around anytime of year. Easy paths to follow and plenty of birds to watch and enjoy . Often ice cream van in the summer. Very near to the town so can stroll in and have coffee and cake afterwards
