Fairly close to Gresty Road for football fans.
The two blokes working there were friendly, chatty and knowledgeable about beers.
I called in for a very quick pint before the game and returned after before my train home.
Whilst I prefer proper old fashioned pubs, this place is well worth a visit for the beer and ambiance.

....Beer Dock has eveything you need. Ask Sam the owner and you will be on a proper beer tour. At least 4 quality craft beers on tap you will not find of this quality and prices anywhere else.

Arrived following a shopping trip not knowing what I wanted, Bruce very quickly gave us samples of current Beers all of which were so good. Always a warm welcome and knowledgeable staff who are clearly the core of this business. #my local 🤗🙏

I decided to visit the Beerdock in the town on a Saturday afternoon. I walked in about 3pm to find nobody else in there. I looked at the list of beers and prices and I wasn't surprised nobody else was in there. Needless to say I turned round and walked straight back out.

Went for the first time tonight on a friends recommendation. There were x9 of us. X1 driver. The bin drinker asked for a lime and lemonade..... or a soft drink...... the rudest bar maid I have EVER encountered globally said - 'NO - WE DON'T SELL SOFT DRINKS. I COULD MAYBE RUSTLE YOU UP A TAP WATER BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IV'E FINISHED SERVING EVERYONE ELSE'. X1 HOUR PASSED - NO TAP WATER. Very rude - VERY irresponsible and wouldn't recommend this venue. Trying to imitate the Manchester northern quarter with fancy light bulbs, and dog bowls - start by hiring GREAT staff.......

Yes, the clue is in the name Beerdock, we are not a bar, and thank you for liking us to the northern quarter, we can assure you we opened long before any of those bars with "trendy dog bowls", yes we also have dogs in Crewe. Why on earth is that a problem. Come on 9 people and one driver, where you in a bus ??
I am sorry i just don't get the " trying to imitate the northern quarter" bit would that be such a bad thing for crewe ?
Please let us know when you come back and we will make sure we can get some soft drinks in.

Both stores have an excellent selection of beers, my one criticism would be they are not comfortable places to sit in way too cramped with very poor seating, this needs a serious looking at.

Thanks for the review Robbie827, We appreciate all feedback received. We are disappointed that we only received 3/5 from you due to the size of the shop. We are what we are and unfortunately our size is predetermined by the size of the shop, as for expansion we simply have no room "extending in to the back room" as we need an area for glass washing and storage.
We are pleased that you like the coconut beer that we sell, we don't sell soft drinks as you've pointed out we are limited by size and cannot fit another market of drinkers in. As for water, we don't charge for glasses of water and all customers are welcome to a free glass of water if they would like one.
In terms of table space we have utilised the space we have with our benches that allow the maximum number of people to be seated in the shop with a small space for standing room as well, smaller tables would unfortunately not work for us and would take up more space with less seating for customers.
We do our best to accommodate as many people as we can, and are a little taken back by the 3/5 rating for things out of our control like space. We could understand if it was for a genuine reason like bad service, bad beer or something genuinely negative but we feel this is unfair as our success in having customers and utilising the space we have seems to be why you didn't rate us highly?
Thanks
Sam
P.s We don't condone animal cruelty and swinging cats anywhere.

My partner Richard introduced me to the delights of beer dock last year. Living further north there isn't anything like this in my area. Whenever my partner visits home he brings back a selection from beer dock and I'm never disappointed. The selection of beers is outstanding and the staff are always so helpful and pick out beers for us to try. Will definitely be making a visit again soon. Definitely recommend to anyone that likes real ale and trying different things. Prices are always spot on too for the quality of beer you receive.
