Francisco Canton square is in the very center of Valladolid with a gorgeous Cathedral dominating it. It's a classic Spanish style plaza, rectangular in shape with many trees and benches, as well a fountain in the middle. Here you will also find the double curved lover chairs like in Merida. Came here as part of our tour and spent about 30 minutes. It was a great place to walk around eat churros and elote and take pictures of the cathedral. It gets 5 stars because it was free and I enjoyed myself. I would stop by if you are in the area but I wouldn’t make a special trip here. …

The park of a colonial city ... It is not something extraordinary, but if it is good to hang out. When I was there, there was a free musical performance by a local indigenous group. It is a picturesque little place where they sell all kinds of local folk food. If you will only make the trip just to see that place, I would not recommend it ... Only if you are passing through.…

Lovely plaza in the middle of town, surrounded by the church, stores, restaurants and bars. Ambiance is nice especially during weekends. There are many kiosks with local products and during the evenings they play music and there is folk dancing.
