Really cool cenote and adventure park

I've done over 20 cenotes and this one is a prime example of the big, deep cavern full of stalagmites and stalactites. The water feels pure and there not too many people. The mayans selling their wares are very sweet. And though I didn't partake in other activities, there are a lot. ATV, horses, drinking, eating. And what looked like... More

Cenotes are lovely but the tourist juggernaut they have constructed around them, starting with an attempt to upsell you to a package, followed by aggressive attempts to sell guide and photo services once you buy your ticket and completed with rows of shops you need to pass and decline to buy from before actually entering the cenote ruined the experience.... If you are in Valladolid I would recommend visiting the cenote at Hacienda Oxman instead - much more beautiful, quieter, and cheaper. It's the same distance from Valladolid and if you are car-less you can easily cycle there on a pathway south of Calle 54. The cenotes at Samula and Xkeken were the least interesting of the 7 cenotes I... More

Tons of tourists and not pretty at all. We went to another cenote next to this that was so much better.

It is a special phenomenon to see, but the cenotes here are very commercialised. Merchandising everywhere.. It has a strange theme-park-feel. More of a downside: there is ¡POO IN THE WATER! In both cenotes we saw the turds floating around :-/ So, I don't think I would recommend it...

It's a touristy place, yes, but the cenote or water hole itself is impressive - swimming in a cave really.

Very nice cenote, no need for snorkeling though, fun for swimming as well. 80 pesos entrance fee, try to come early!

It is just amazing. A Mayan tour guide lead us throughout the entire thing & answered to all our questions (in Spanish). The place itself is incredibly beautiful just to get a nice view & to relax for a moment. It is a MUST once you're in Chichen Iza.

This is beautiful not too tall but too much humidity and color of water is not clear, is not the best cenote but the coolest thing is that is right in front of another cool cenote and a buffet restaurant

A must visit although a short one. Take advantage and swim the sinkhole- purest water you'll ever experience- it's a 45 min visit at best but something you'll never do again -
