Native Choice does a great job with this tour. Our guide, Edder, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Lunch was delicious, and I loved walking around the garden learning about the plants that were used to make our lunch, making tortillas and salsa and learning about the foods we would be eating before we ate. Our bus transportation was clean and comfortable with good air conditioning, nice small group.

We arrived in Costa Maya on the Symphony of the Seas. Prior to our arrival, I made an online reservation for a tour of Dzibanche Ruins. The whole process was simple and easy. I like to support local businesses and the price of the tour was much lower than a similar tour offered by the cruise line. Dzibanche ruins are 2 hours' drive away from the port and therefore they are not very popular: only 10 people attended on our tour, and there were only a few more people at the archeological site, so everything was peaceful and quiet. Dzibanche pyramids are the only pyramids one can climb on, and that was special. Our docent, Diego, was intelligent knowledgeable and interesting: he taught us about the Mayan culture, their way of living and worshiping, and how the pyramids really looked like thousands of years ago. It was fascinating. The vehicle was air-conditioned and comfortable and the whole experience was excellent. Thank you, Diego, for an unforgettable tour. Highly recommended!

We had a last minute itinerary change to our cruise & found NativeChoice in Costa Maya via a quick online search. They were a very pleasant surprise & we had a wonderful day with them. They responded quickly to my emails & were very helpful. They provided precise & easy to follow instructions to find them from the port. The guides & driver were very friendly, informative and showed us a great day!! The van was clean & well maintained. They offered us bottled water throughout the day. We visited the Chacchoben ruins then were taken to a private resort for a yummy lunch, some relaxation time & kayaking on the Bacalar lagoon. On the return to port, we stopped at a fruit stand to try the local honey pineapple & peach bananas, both of which were incredibly good!! We were returned to port with plenty of time to do a little shopping before returning to the ship. I would use Native Choice again, without hesitation & would recommend them to anyone visiting the area!

We arrived on a cruise the Pearl we chose native choice for a more personable tour,it wound up just being the 4 us .we walked about 10 minutes to the tour office, everyone along the way was helpfull when they tried to sell us tour's and we told them we had one with native choice they directed us in the right direction. We decided on the Dzibanche Ruins Tour because we actually wanted to climb the ruins and not just look at them like mostly every other ruins site. The drive was a little longer but well worth it.Our guide Erik was excellent and told us alot about the history on the drive there and climbed the ruins with us.Plenty of shade there and about 5- to 10 other people there.Make sure you are in decent shape for this ,this isnt just climbing a couple steps you can actually go all the way to the top.We were given water's,soda snacks and a sandwhich.perfect to hold us off till back on the boat we also stopped on the way back and got some mango and pineapple with chili powder, which was excellent. We still had a hour when back at port to shop the stores so plenty of time to get what ever you need.Perfect day with the perfect compnay,Thanks

Found these guys via Trip Advisor as well as some other travel sites. They are a first class outfit. our guide Hugo and driver Miguel did a great job. It is easy to find their office just outside the cruise ship port compound. We got a great background briefing on the way to the site then a thorough guide through the ruins. We had a chuckle the next day when chatting with someone from our cruise ship who engaged different tour operator. She said she was terrified by the driver's speed. No such issues with Miguel. We actually booked another of their tours on another stop of this same itinerary
