We booked here for a couples massage as the prices are much more reasonable than the hotels. We both left happy. I had Pamela who has the tiniest but strongest hands and it was much more than just a back massage she done arms, neck, face, head, feet and pressure points. My husband had Andy and has was very happy with his massage as well so would definitely recommend a visit here you won’t be disappointed.

I had an amazing 50 minute deep tissue massage by Juan. It was one of the best massages I have had. I loved the privacy of the room, and the entire massage was peaceful and calming. I will book again any time I am in Akumal. Please try to support local businesses!

Looking for something to fill our day in the Akumel area, I found Budha Gardens Spa on TA. We were staying at a resort in Rivera Maya. Lorinda is an excellent communicator. We were coming from a cenote visit and with her guidance on timing and the area she is in, we had massages and facials at Budha Gardens, lunch at Lolha Restaurant and beach time on Akumel Bay. All literally within steps of each other. It all fell into place perfectly. Budha Gardens Spa is a peaceful retreat. The energy is quiet, calm and healing. Pamela and Andy were the best massage therapists and facialists we've had. It is a treasure and I may plan a visit back to the area for the sole reason of going back! The fees are affordable. The setting is natural and beachy. The greater benefit is meeting kind people who care about the services they provide,

A very serene spa and garden located within the compound of Hotel Akumal Caribe. My husband and I booked a foot massage and a mini facial. The staff is very inviting, friendly, and down to earth. The treatment rooms immaculate. The mini facial was extremely relaxing. My skin looked luminous afterwards. My husband commented his foot massage was the best he ever had. We loved our experience so much we booked again for the following day. Me: Therapeutic Massage. Husband: Relaxing massage. Both treatments perfect. The staff at Budha Garden spa are exceptional. Spa nice and clean, and good A/C. Juan was very nice and professional, but I asked for a relaxing massage, and got more of a therapeutic massage. Not a bad thing, as I probably needed it, but not what I was expecting. I think Juan may be stronger than he realizes, and wants to do what he thinks is best for his clients, which is work out the knots. I would go back. Prices same as home, but cheaper than Secrets.

My wife and I visited for the couples massage. Very well trained and polite staff and we both had lovely relaxing massages. We were able to sit in the lovely Buddha garden afterwards. Cheaper than our all inclusive hotel spa and I suspect better. Highly recommended.

My husband and I booked in for a 30 minute couples massage which was an excellent experience. The Buddha Garden spa was very tranquil and relaxing experience and the communication via email was efficient and friendly. My massage therapist was called Pamela,whom was clearly very experienced and welcoming: The spa rooms and general ambiance is very relaxing and pleasurable. My husband had a massage with Andy and was Incredibly impressed with his treatment. We definitely plan to return when we next return to stunning Akumal beach.

We were staying at a nearby resort which had very high spa prices so we walked down the beach and found this gem (had read about it on TA). We were met by Mauricio and he was so friendly and sweet. We booked spa treatments for the next morning and left a small deposit. I choose the Akumal pkg and my daughter had the Turtle Pkg (massage and mayan mud wrap)- both were two hours and $122 US; my pkg. included an amazing massage, facial, cranial massage and a pedicure. The room is air-conditioned and relaxing, Theora (I'm sure I've spelled her name wrong) has amazing hands and used the nicest oils and lotions .... if I ever go back to Akumal I will be sure to visit the Budha Garden Spa again! One of the best days of our vacation :)

I just returned from a week in Akumal and I visited Budha Garden Spa. What an absolute delight! I am a licensed massage therapist in private practice for the past 20 years and have also gotten regular massages for the last 40 years and I must say that the massage and total experience at Budha Garden was awesome. I got a one hour exfoliation body scrub and a 20 minute cranial massage by Juan. It was perfect. The greeting, the environment with lovely statues, water gardens, quiet outdoor seating areas all added to the great experience. I know that all makes things nicer but the bodywork was outstanding and being a massage therapist myself, I often am uncertain when scheduling a massage because you never know what it may be like, especially when it's a place you have never been before. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. The rooms, the temperature, the oils and creams and scrubs used were wonderful. Juan used a cream on my face that his wife had made and it was perfect! I believe that Juan is the owner, and I feel assured that any therapist that works in his Budha Garden would need to meet his very high standards. Budha Garden is right in the middle of town and very close to the beach. It was very quiet and tranquil as soon as you enter into the gardens and the noises of the town just melt away. Please make an appt and enjoy your vacation in Akumal even more! I am returning in May and again next Feb and I will definitely be at The Budha Garden Spa!

My wife had a pedicure on our last visit to Akumal. This was my wifes very first visit to Budha Gardens Spa and she could not stop talking about how good her feet felt and raved about her experience. When in the area and visiting Akumal you should definitely treat yourself to a pedicure at the Bugha Gardens Spa. We will definitely be making another visit there.
