This was not on the itinerary for the trip, but after meeting up with another tourist who recommended it, we added it to our itinerary. What a wonderfully organized, friendly, and relaxing event to experience.

We booked the private tour with Sean and Flying Pictures and it was without doubt the most memorable activity of our trip to Mexico. Sean picked us up in the early hours of the morning - great conversation and stories en route about his life in a Mexico. We took the private balloon trip, wonderful operator, very calm and patient. Bottle of champagne on landing and then photos inside the balloon. Nice buffet breakfast and then .... Luis as a guide to take us around the pyramids. He was an incredible guide! His knowledge and care for the historic site was obvious with stories we will remember for a long time. Traffic back into the city was heavy but the driver kindly made a detour to another location en route that we requested that maximized our time in Mexico City. A well-organized and brilliant private tour from start to finish. Cannot rate highly enough! Thank you!

We truly enjoyed our balloon ride. It was a magical experience and the hundreds of balloons around you made the experience even more spectacular. It is a great way to see the pyramids. The Flying Pictures crew was kind attentive and safe. It was a bit disorganized to start but once we were on the balloon everything ran smoothly!

Had a great time with this excursion. Very well run and our pilot was amazing. Beautiful views. Whole day was very good. Recommend booking this event. It's a great day out to see the aztec pyramids from the air as well as the ground.

First time being on a hot air balloon, but the overall experience was fantastic! The ride and landing was smooth, and the views were amazing. Unfortunately, the winds blew us west and we couldn’t fly directly over the pyramids, but the experience was still amazing! I always prefer guided tours as it gives you history needed to truly appreciate what you are looking at, and our guide was informative. Included breakfast was decent. We bought the whole transport, balloon and guided tour package which states we would be given drinks, hats and souvenirs during the tour but we didn’t receive any of it. It’s not a big deal, but if you put it in the description of the package, it’s expected and disappointing that it was misleading.

Hi. Not sure what happened there. We carry a supply of hats and water and some packages include a souvenir. Rather than being misleading it was a slip up on the part of our driver and I apologise. If you would like we can send you the souvenir - which is usually a decorated enamel cup - for each passenger. If you could identify your booking that would be helpful. Our intention is always to comply with what we promise and not disappoint. As far as flying over the pyramids we can’t guarantee that as we are dependent on the air currents but 90% of the time we do manage! Thanks for pointing out the omission please let me know if there is some way we can compensate you

everything as promised and even better, and I was with 5 other people that were great to share the flight with. Picked up on time at hotel, transfer to Teotihuacan, coffee and something stronger if you want, hour flight at sun rise over pyramid of the sun was fantastic and top class pilot, transfer to breakfast at a quality restaurant with excellent buffet, then few hours climbing over the pyramids and grounds, pick up back to Hotel. In summary everything exceeded my expectations and I have no problem recommending this company and this trip to anyone. Everybody spoke perfect English!

The team was very courteous & professional. The balloon ride exceeded expectations as you fly multiple times, high and low near the pyramids and over Teotihuacan valley. We booked the early AM flight as this allowed for a better flight path. The included perks were also sweet such as roundrip transportation to/from our hotel in Polanco, free coffee upon arrival, flight certificate, free breakfast buffet, gopro pictures (avail for purchase), a toast & more! Flying pictures Mexico did an awesome job.

Prompt pick up early from centro. Comfortable drive to the site. A proper cup of Yorkshire Tea, my first in weeks! Then straight on the balloon and off we went. A fantastic experience. Didn't think the pictures were up to much but the drone footage was amazing so we bought that. The breakfast spot was great and then we had as much time as we needed to explore the site on the ground. Recommended!

Phenomenal experience and exceptional service! I did this tour solo at the recommendation of my friend.
My package included round-trip transport, breakfast, a hot air balloon ride, and access to the Aztec pyramids. I added a tour guide for the pyramids and GoPro footage from the hot air balloon ride.
From the moment you reserve your seat, I was met with exceptional customer service. The team is helpful at explaining the safety protocols and anything other concerns you may have.
Your experience begins with a 5:30 am pick-up time from your hotel in CDMX with additional stops for people in your group, followed by a roughly 1-hour drive to Teotihuacan.
Followed by that, you arrive at the launch site and are greeted by your host for the day. Your host walks you through your itinerary, which includes a welcome breakfast, temperature check, while staff prep the balloons. Hosts are bilingual (English and Spanish), which was helpful for me. I speak both English and Spanish but comprehend more Spanish than I speak it.
While you wait (roughly 30-40 min), the team preps the hot air balloons for the flights. As a nervous flyer, it was great to watch the detail involved in prep process.
Once ready, your host rounds up your assigned group and walks you to your balloon. There are plenty of moments for photo-ops, before you board.
I felt incredibly safe -- our group was 7 -- and I had my own section in the balloon basket. Other companies I looked at had capacity limits that exceeded my comfort level.
As a nervous flyer, I was glad safety protocols were repeated throughout the process. Once airborne, the ride is smooth -- it's akin to a feather floating in the air, with more control, as a pilot is on board. Full disclosure, I'm terrified of heights, but I love flying. Your ride lasts 40-50 minutes. With that in mind, it took me 15 minutes to get comfortable. Once I took in the beauty around me, sunrise, pyramids, ambiance, there was nothing to fear The feeling? It's indescribable.
Following landing, you're met with a fun surprise, which I will keep a surprise. Then, you're off to a breakfast buffet, followed by access to the Aztec Pyramids in Teotihuacan. Depending on if you have a tour, you'll be with your guide. Personally, I enjoyed having the guide. Montse was wonderful and explained the significance of the pyramids to Mexico's history.
Post-pyramids, you return back to the launch site and have an opportunity to purchase pictures, videos, etc from the flight. Then, they drop you off at your hotel.
Keep in mind, your day is full (5:30 am - 2 pm), but it's absolutely worth it! I'd do this experience again. Thank you to my friend Omar -- he used this company in 2019 with rave recommendations.

A Surprise Valentines adventure !!
From Start to Finish an amazing day, We were picked up at our hotel my wife and 2 kids.
The tour was very well organized, staff were friendly. The actually Balloon ride you have choices to be with groups or private , we choose the private with just the pilot who had many years of experience. We were at 10000 feet breath taking.
We finished off with a champagne toast and then off for a buffet breakfast! (lots to choose from) .
Great for all family members. Thanks again Sean for the amazing day!!

Can you take us to tour the ruins Teotihacan after the balloon ride and then drop us back at hotel? Also, How many people maximum in a balloon? How many compartments in a balloon and how many in each compartment?

Hi! So if I am staying at an Airbnb in La Condesa in the city, are you able to pick us up right from there? Do we have to go to the pyramids after? How do we get back to the city if we don't go the pyramids after? Would an Uber be expensive? If 2 people want to go to the site, but only one person wants to fly in the balloon, can you do that?

As I saw on my trip, pick up would be ok from the city, you do not have to go to the pyramids after the flight and breakfast, and you will be transported back to city separately from those on the trip who wish to go to pyramids. re the cost if one person does not fly in the balloon I presume that would depend on space in the morning pick up vehicle. Flying pictures are well managed by a Brit, customer focused and given enough time they would work something out.

I would like to book this trip for my husband as a surprise on 28th March but I will not be going up in the balloon , we will be visiting the ruins afterwards. Can you tell me if you can pick us both up from our hotel in Mexico City and after the balloon ride take. Us to the ruins . We are happy to explore the ruins alone and make our own way back to the city. If this is possible can you let me know the cost
