I have often wandered through Barbara's Bazaar just to reconvince myself that the human race is worth preserving. Watching the antics of all our Western, two-party 'democracies' these days could lead one to despair. Forget the 'Internet of things' - its pixellated CIA rubbish.

WOW, I think we had a visit from Ajijic's Poet Laureate .. thank you so much for romanticizing our store and the whole concept of using things again instead of replacing them with sawdust! Our staff are friendly, as response to people like yourself who take the time to say hello and goodbye. We appreciate your kind words and hope to maintain the 'ambience' that has kept you coming in for years..

Excellent consignment store with everything you could imagine from present day to many decades ago. If you need it they likely have it. You can also put your things on consignment for them to sell. They take a 30 or 35% commission but they do get the most foot traffic of al

Thank you for taking the time to review us. You are right about the foot traffic, haven't tried to analyze it but with all the myriads of other stores to chose in the area we still have crowds on the weekends and a steady flow daily of lookers and shoppers .. could be our excellent staff who get to know the clients by name and what they're looking for .. and go our of their way to help. Some of our staff have been with us for more than 20 years .. or could be the HUGE variety of merchandise we have, from Tupperware to Tiffany lamps ..

Ajijic being a place where folks retire to, a lot end up dying here too. Their families don't want to deal with their things, so they give them to Barbara's Bazaar to sell. Which is fine except they are way overpriced.Keep looking around there are tons of consignment/resell

This is a great consignment store with something for everyone. They also conduct estate/garage sales and are very professional and well organized. We would definitely use their services again.

WE appreciate your kind words. We try to have something for everyone and love seeing some of the same people over and over as they peruse our inventory 'just looking". Don't know who you are from the posting but we love doing 'in house' sales for the excitement of large crowds and the thrill of taking over a full house and 3 days later seeing it emptied out!

Barbara’s is a second had store filled with an eclectic mix of many different kinds of items. If you are looking for high end furniture, need some bedding, kitchen items, art, knicknacks, garden items, and more, this is the place to check out first. The prices can be a bit

Laureen, thanks for your review. You're right, we do have sales and regular discounts on our merchandise, best ask one of our sales people how long and item has been with us. That is a big factor in how low the prices can be lowered .. remember, we don't make a dime until a item sells !! So we are just as happy as you are when a sale is made!
