World class wine, world class food. Amazing hospitality. Lifetime memories. Thank you!

Our tour, meal, after dinner conversation was so good.

Jim and Hilda have done an amazing job with the Tempranillo grapes.

So glad that we were able to enjoy a fabulous afternoon with Jim, Hilda, and their attentive staff. Everything about Trevista is worth noting. The grounds, the food pairings, the wine, and best of all, the owners. Jim is so enthusiastic about his passion for wine and life. Hilda’s passion is exemplified in the beautifully presented food pairings and in sharing details of her life’s work- supporting orphaned children in Mexico. It’s an adventure getting there but you will leave wanting to return to share the experience with loved ones. Truly wonderful.

The best Tempranillo in the Valle de Guadalupe. Owners Hilda and James are the absolute friendliest and most welcoming people in the Valle.
James has dedicated himself to making the best wine with his own two hands. Hilda is a self-taught chef who can create amazing pairing meals for small and large groups alike.
Open Saturdays and Sundays by appointment only.
The winery is in a very quiet part of the Valle and is perfect for peace of mind and relaxation.
Don't forget to ask James about his worm composting techniques!!

This was not my first visit to Trevista, nor will it be my last. This small vinery is doing everything right in an old school way. The wine they produce is the best I've ever tasted, and I've tasted a lot. But as good as the wine is, that's only part of the experience.

Owners, James and Hilda, are two of the most wonderful hosts you'll ever meet. They make you feel like visiting old friends. Hilda produces some of the most delightful tapas to go along with the wine, while James not only gives an introduction to the wines, but gives you advice on how to really enjoy wine.

This was my third visit and each time Hilda produces some awesome treats that are always different and delicious. And each time I visit, I learn something new from James about their wine. I always bring friends and they always rave about the experience. Put a Trevista wine tasting on your bucket list more than once.

We discovered the Valle de Guadalupe last year and have driven down from San Diego almost once a month ever since. It's about a 90 minute drive each way and so worth it for a day trip, but really special when you can spend the whole weekend out there. The Valley has over 50 vineyards, ranging from small to very large ones like LA Cetto that supply most of Latin America. Trevista is by far our absolute favorite! We went on Sunday just to stop in for a few minutes to see the grounds..... and ended up staying for 9 hours! We finally said our goodbyes at 11pm -- No joke! Hilda and her husband Jim are the most amazing hosts I've ever met. They took up winemaking as a hobby in 2007 and in just a few years, have been able to produce some delicious reds. Their tempranillo in particular is soooo good. Hilda whips up delicious tapas while Jim describes the wines and tells stories about life on the vineyard. Puppies roam the property and neighbors stop in to say hi. My 5 friends and I felt like we were living in a dream the whole day. I would highly recommend getting a few friends and booking a private lunch or dinner with tastings. They keep their prices affordable for what you're getting, which is honestly priceless. My husband and I are already planning an 5 year anniversary dinner there. It's a bit off the beaten path, but please take the opportunity to include Trevista on your itinerary, you will fall in LOVE!

Unlike most wine tasting experiences, this was more like being invited to a friend's home who happens to own the best winery in the valley. You're never treated as a customer or pushed to buy anything. Instead your treated to the type of warm hospitality you'd expect to only find visiting a friend's home in Tuscany. That experience alone is worth the visit, but the wine and food are off the charts. I been to many countries and have tasted the great wines in Spain, France, Italy, California, and Mexico. I can honestly say I have never tasted any wine better than the wine I tasted as Tresvistas. And, to top it off, Hilda brings out an array of tasty treats during the tasting that would be worth the visit even if they didn't serve wine.

On a scale of 1-10, this winery is at least an 11. Visit it now before you need to wait a year to get a reservation. The only problem is that you can only cross the US border with one bottle per person.

This place is so unique, very restful and peaceful.

Settled by the foothills with views of the surrounding wineries. Owners, Jim and Hilda are real people at its finest, they welcome all like family. From the moment we arrive they greet us with hugs and exquisite wines as Hilda has prepared heavenly homemade specialties.

Perfectly safe, with wonderful neighbors (fellow winemakers) stop by to say hello to the visiting group making the trip even more so endearing. It intrigues me to find that the valley residents come from various parts of the world. You won’t find this unique ambiance in the U.S.
– I never want to leave this place... Please build an Inn!!

One trip to Trevista Vineyards and you’re hooked. I can't wait to be back. Thank you Jim and Hilda, it takes special people like you that make this a unique experience for all… You are truly blessed...

Visiting the Valle of Guadalupe is like an unforgettable trip to Brigadoon. One gets off the main highway onto a series of unpaved roads that leads to one charming family winery after another. This is how wineries were before we turned them into "venues" north of the border. Farmers lovingly tending their vines, quiet sleepy afternoons, dragonflies flitting along the road as you drive along, you can almost feel the grapes ripening in the sun. Nestled among the rows and rows of vines sits the Trevista Winery and home to the winemakers. I had the privilege of being invited to breakfast outside in the shade of the patio on a beautiful fall morning, surrounded by the vines and a darkened oak tree. We sat at long tables and benches with local growers and winemakers speaking both English and Spanish and discussing everything under the sun. Hilda, our hostess, created a delectable gourmet brunch with the freshest of local produce, home made breads and locally cured meats. The conversation was lively and the people were very welcoming. Later in the day, it was time to taste the first bottles of wine. Once you try the Baja wines, your only question is how can I get more of this bottled pleasure? Our hosts derive genuine joy in the process of making wine and are eager to share their enthusiasm about each variety they bring out for you in the intimate tasting room. This is how wine tasting should be, enjoyment of the fellowship of tasting wine together and relishing the sensuality of the result.
