We found the staff of the Weyburn Public Library to be very helpful. We spent a Saturday morning there researching the local history section doing family history.

This is a really great place to go to get any reading materials you need for young or old. They have everything well organized so you can find it easily. There is a toy sectioin to borrow from if you have any young people who need that sort of thing. There are great classes held there also. Some of these are people who have travelled and they tell you of what they have seen. They have great school classes from time to time that teachers can sign up and take their classes. They are very well organized in that area.

Able to find things on your own, or seek qualified help if needed. Great tech support too and variety of events offered to the public

On the day I was there, there was an Author there, that had written a book about Canada's north. He also had interesting artifacts with him. I find it to be a very good library lots of selection. The library proudly displays "The Big Wheel" that was originally located in the old City Hall as part of Weyburn's Diamond Jubilee Celebration in 1965. Panels are constructed with Italian glass in a mosaic pattern. 10 panels describe some of the history of SK and Weyburn from before 1850 to 1960. Also saw art display at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery. “LOVE, HATE AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN” - Artist Name(s): Heather van der Breggen & Rickee-Lee Murdoch Webster. Very well done display.
