Wonderful Basilica includes a lower church dedicated to the Blessed Mother. The blue ceiling of the lower church makes me feel like I am in heaven gazing upon the blessed mother. The upper church is magnificent with beautiful stained glass and sculptures. The remains of a saint are interred on the lower level, but I do not recall his name.... More

I visited here mid morning and was surprised the basilica wasn't packed with tourists. The young guy out the front was very informative and friendly as was the gentleman inside. Beautiful interior and not over done interesting history.Close to cafes and other attractions.

I had not visited in over 45 years so it was nice to see the number of additions to the Basillica. Take time to walk the grounds and to cross the street to view the amazing artworks for the Stations of the Cross. WE were there during a funeral so it was difficult to explore. I would have loved to... More

Our ship excursion included a tour of the sanctuary where we spent some time exploring the church and grounds. It's a beautiful structure which houses the only full-sized copy of Michaelangelo's Pieta which is a must-see. Also interesting is an exhibit about the shroud of Turin. The church has an interesting history and on the grounds nearby are sculptures of... More

Part of our tour was of the Sanctaire-Anne-de-Beaupre. One problem there was a funeral going on. Some of the people on the tour was upset that they could not take pictures of the alter because there was a coffin in front of the alter. I feel the tour company should find out ahead if there is a funeral going on.

Located about 20 miles from Quebec City, this is a great day trip you can combine with Montmorency Falls. If possible, go during a time when there will be singing because the acoustics of this church are truly divine. It was also great that the church is fully wheelchair accessible.

I don't want to say much about my visit to this church. It's best if you see it and experience it for yourself. It's unreal. Take time to explore all the buildings and shops on the side roads near the church. If you can, try to visit when there is a mass going on. It's a must see. If I... More

Breathtaking, beautiful, amazing and awestruck are some words to describe this gorgeous church. You really have to experience this yourself to understand the feeling. Unbelievable how grand this property really is. The history is fascinating. The fall colors were a photographers dream.

There was a mass in progress when we arrived, and so had to wait to take photos - but this allowed us time to 1st explore the large chapel on the lower level. Mass had ended when we returned to the main sanctuary. Though not too ornate, it is beautiful - towering arched ceilings, paintings, statuary and stained glass. You... More
