We did the hour long snow mobile excursion and loved it. Our tour guide Fred was informative and helped us every step of the way. He let us have our fun, while making sure safety was the most important thing. The excursion area was beautiful, covered with snow both on the ground and on the trees— we truly felt like we were in a winter wonderland. The operation was first class all the way, from checkin, to getting the right gear through the instruction part. Will definitely do it again next time we’re in the Montreal area! One small suggestion would be to maybe cruise around the lake twice (instead of once)— that’s really the only area you can go full speed.

Jeff was an amazing driver/guide on our 1 he keep ride through the hilly terrain. A highlight was getting to interact with the huskies that dog sled in the winter time. Jeff was knowledgeable and we learned more about plants you could eat in the bush, which mushrooms to stay away from and was happy to answer our questions. This made the excursion a real learning opportunity. We stopped a couple of times at some beautiful vistas and were treated to great scenery. We opted for a guide to drive but there is the choice to also drive yourself.

We booked very last minute and arrived an hour late. Yannick was very patient and welcoming, he even stayed an hour overtime just for us and gave my boyfriend a free t-shirt for his birthday. Our guide Martin was both friendly and professional. I can’t remember the last time I had such excellent service!

My wife and I visited Aventures Plein Air this December just in time for the first major snowfall of the year and we were so amazed by how wonderful this company is!
From the shuttle that picked us up in Montreal (Shirley is the nicest lady ever), to the amazing team of employees at the property, we were treated like VIP's the whole time! Alex, the owner, is the nicest, most down-to-earth guy. He treats his staff like family and all of his guests even better!
We went dog sledding on the frozen lake, which was a dream come true, then the next day we went snowmobiling through the mountain forests covered with snow. Wow.
During our half-day snowmobile tour, we stopped in town for an included lunch, which was delicious...you gotta try the Poutine!
Alex provided my wife and I top quality snow gear, including snowmobiling pants, coat, gloves, and helmet which he let us use for our entire stay there, not just during our tour. We couldn't believe how nice everyone was and what great quality equipment they have. We rode a brand new snowmobile that was super easy to drive and VERY fast!
I can't say enough wonderful things about this company. We will, without a doubt, visit again. we can't wait to check out their summer/fall offerings. They have Jeep CJ-7's with huge tires ready to go trailing.
Thanks again, Alex for all of your assistance planning our trip and excursions. You made our trip to Canada so memorable!

Family went snowmobiling through woods and on frozen pond with a guide. Joe our guide was very attentive and adjusted as needed the route based upon snow conditions and skill of family. He was patient and very easy to work with. My daughters had never driven snowmobiles before and he was great. Must be 18 years old with license to drive. Younger daughter was passenger on a double ride while husband and I were solo. Entire operation is focused on safety, warmth, and fun. Never felt rushed. Beautiful area to explore and an easy 1 hour drive outside of Montreal city.

We had the best day EVER at Aventures Plein Air! It's truly a winter wonderland. Everything about our experience was smooth--from making inquires before booking, to booking, to the day itself. A great thing to know is that they have heavy-duty winter wear that you can borrow, at no extra charge! So don't worry about buying a ton of winter gear before you arrive.
We did the 2 hour dog sled immersion and it was hands down, one of the most incredible experiences of our lives. The price was very reasonable, given the amount of one-on-one instruction, attention, and time spent with the dogs. We had so much fun! The dogs are truly amazing, very gentle and sweet.
The staff--especially Alex, Manon, and Justine--was so friendly and informative. They genuinely care about each animal and want their guests to have a safe, pleasant, and enjoyable experience. We had a false alarm with a medical emergency (nothing to do with the experience whatsoever!!) on the mountain, and everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and safe. They were so genuinely kind, and it's evident they love what they do.
We would come back in a heartbeat! I'd recommend driving/renting a car if you're coming from Montreal. We took public transit, which was ok but not ideal. FYI, they also have a shuttle bus to Montreal for 50$, very reasonable if you can't drive and need a good option!

My girlfriend booked a package deal (Dog Sledding, lunch and Snow Mobiling) for my Birthday as a surprise during our visit to Montreal. The day started with us being collected from our AirBnB in Montreal by one of the companies employees and driven to the site, about an hour north of Montreal.
On arrival we were greeted by the friendly team, and Stella, one of the huskies! We were given all of the kit we needed and then heading up the mountain in a truck to meet our guides and the rest of the dogs. The sledding was an amazing experience, Julie our guide and instructor was super-helpful and made us feel comfortable throughout the experience, encouraging us to go as quickly as was safe. She was extremely knowledgable about the dogs and clearly loved her job; introducing us to all of the husky pups too!
Expecting a relatively simple lunch, we were pleasantly surprised to be served with three courses of delicious food in the hotel restaurant next to the Adventure centre, with a view over the frozen lake, ideal!
Finishing the day with 2 hours of snowmobiling guided by Nick was a great way to finish the day. We had a private tour with just Nick and explored all of the cool tracks near the Adventure centre making the most of the remaining snow. The ski-doos were in great condition, and Nick was a great guide. All in all a fantastic day out and I'd highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Wonderful day out in the snow with a bunch of very enthusiastic huskies ánd guides! We were instructed about the way to control a dogsled and for me a guide was arranged as I could do the sledding due to a back injury. I was very well taken care off and enjoyed the ride very much! Thanks to Jessica who gave me a wonderful experience. Loved it!

We hope that you'll get better and that you'll come visit us for a jeep or quad activity in the summer. Have a wonderful day! Aventures Plein Air

We got picked up in Montréal by a tremendously friendly employee of the company and the drive there was smooth and on time.
The organization before the actual day of snowmobiling was very easy to follow and the communication was friendly, but professional.
We got to know many very nice people while being dressed and while the formalities were sorted. Our guide for the 2-hour snowmobile trip has been a absolute professional and he was the perfect fit for beginners on such a machine. We were happy with every part of our trip through the picturesque landscape around St. Hippolyte.
Total recommendation to everyone curious about snowmobiling.
