We went on a sunny Sunday in the middle of summer. It was busy, but that didn’t ruin the experience at all. I expected a semi-amateurish place but I was wrong. Omega Park is polished and has tourism down to a science. The many buildings are all beautiful log cabins. We bought 8 bags of carrots for our three kids, and that was the perfect amount. The restaurant is right in the big entrance building….it looked very good but we were pressed for time so we grabbed some pre-made sandwiches, drinks, salads and coffee and ate outside on the big deck overlooking a beautiful lake. Driving through the elk and various deer species was amazing. Some are massive! They are gentle when they put their head in your car for carrots. We patted them easily. Some of them do drool a bit! We also saw a bison herd (one walked right in front of us), moose, wolves, lots of wild boars, caribou, mountain goats, an alpine ibex, foxes and bears. You drive right next to the fenced in bear area, and we saw two cute cubs wrestling, along with two older bears wrestling in a pond. We saw numerous babies of different species. We did a pit stop at the far end of the drive…..there is a huge “rest stop” where you can get food and ice cream, use the restrooms, go to the shops, etc. It is a two-minute walk from there to the wolf observation deck, where staff was putting on a show. And there is a huge, wooden climber for kids, which was really fun. (This pit stop is where you go to the farmstead area, which is quite a distance away. We did not do it). We only got stuck in very slow traffic once, for ten minutes. Otherwise you can drive at your leisure. Our total time here was almost 4 hours. If you don’t get out anywhere, and move along briskly, you can do it in half that time. It’s a beautiful, huge attraction, and we are so glad we did it.

This was my second trip, and as always, a lot of fun, especially for those who haven't been before. The four-legged greeters upon arrival are always fun but be sure to save a few carrots for the fallow deer who roam around the rest stop further into the park and will come up to you. This time, we discovered the Wolf observation area near the rest stop. It was feeding time and so we were treated to the whole pack feeding a few feet beyong the glass walls. The guide there was excellent and answered all questions in French and English. A delightful day.

We had an awesome day at Parc Omega. They've done a great job of ensuring that guests feel sale given the current pandemic. There is hand sanitizer everywhere you look and the public areas where you can walk about are carefully set-up to ensure physical distancing.

We had a great day learning about the animals and driving/walking through the Park.

I’ve been coming to park omega since it open some 30 years ago (I was just a small kid)… in recent years they’ve done some major upgrades to their infrastructure. It’s looking great! The back balcony of the main building is now a lovely spot to eat and rest while looking over the lake. The food is much more elevated and they’ve added a Quebec product grocery store with many items a foodie would love.

The animals remain as magic as ever.

A must do stop if you’re near Montreal or Ottawa

It was extremely pricey $$$ for what it is! It took a while before we got to see the wolves up close and that was short lived.

Compared to other animals in the park, the wolves seemed to have a small area. If you have a lot of money and don't care about paying so much to see wolves through a window then it's ok. If you think it's quite expensive and hope it's worth it, it's not.

It is definately not worth the price they charge, not even at 50%. At the time my husband and I went it was $700 a night and didn't include the tour of the park!! I heard it includes the tour now but it absolutely doesn't justify charging so much.

Parc Omega was the highlight of our trip to Montreal! Like a Canadian safari. Well worth the drive and money to feed carrots to the deer and observe all of the wild animals in the park. The farm was cute, but not a must see if you have limited time. We also did the first nation's trail and wolf observatory. Overall it was pretty magical.

I bought 2 large bags of carrots at the Jean Talon Market the day prior rather than buy carrots in the park. You can go through lots of carrots! There is an opportunity to shop and see some art, though the goods are quite expensive. There was a snack shop but we did not try the food here.

2000 acres of forest for these beautiful Northern animals. Many species of deer surround your cars as you feed carrots out the window. You are aware that many of the species are fenced in but their enclosures are so naturally landscaped you forget you are in a zoo. The wolves are spectacular,

We rented the four wheeler to tour the Parc which we loved! It allowed us to get close to the animals and have some fun driving along the way - and not worry about our vehicle (we were told two windshields got broken that day by the Buffalo). We got a kick out of the bold animals coming right up to us and stopping us in our tracks!

We also slept in one of the wolf cabins. In the small enclosure, it was easy to keep an eye on the wolves throughout our time and it truly was a unique experience. We were surprised to see that there weren’t kitchen facilities to cook in, like the photos showed! Luckily I packed in a way that didn’t rely on a stove of any sort.

Overall, we loved this experience and highly recommend it to anyone, especially with young kids.

My children and I arrived at the wolf bain at 3:30 pm excited about our long anticipated stay. We packed up and left the chalet five hours later cold,  hungry and very disappointed. I was shocked by the complete lack of customer support  (as well as the lack of heat, functioning kitchen and blankets in this $1000.00 per night accomodation).  Despite my repeated requests in both French and English to have these issues addressed, my children remained huddled in the 13 degree luxury chalet, cold and hungry yet determined not to give up on this opportunity to "sleep with the wolves".

The management response was shocking.  There was no apology for the broken heat, lack of blankets, and non-functioning stove and microwave - not even a place to warm up or a warm drink.  Instead they dismissed the situation by saying that it was not their  fault that their attempts to fix these basic issues failed.  After five hours of trying not to disappoint my children I gave up, got a refund and left.

The silver lining is that we drove to the Chateau Montebello where we were immediately offered exceptional customer service and amenities (including hot chocolate to warm us up) at one quarter of the price.
This is the first time in over 30 years of travel that I have left a review but I am doing so in hopes that others do not have my experience.

Also, this experience is in no way reflective of the day at Parc Omega itself.  My children and I had a wonderful day encountering wildlife and exploring the walking trails.

The absolute highlight of our road trip around Quebec. We went in early October and the fall colours were incredible. We had so much fun feeding the animals carrots (buy some from a grocery store before coming to the park and bring more than 1 bag!). We couldn't believe how close you could get to the animals. Walking around and having deer come right up to you was so magical. All of the staff were very friendly. Our toddler loved it and still talks about it months later. We will definitely be back!
