This is an adorable little shopping area. The sign says they open at 10am, but we found only a few shops open at 10am. Some didn't seem to open at all. The Baked Potato and Moo Moo had VERY good food. The staff at the gift shop were very nice and helpful. Oh, and you can't miss Cow's. The Mooey... More

Avonlea is now just a bunch of shops rather than the attraction with actors and pig races. While the shops are a nice touch I wish it hadn't been totally overhauled. It would have been nice to have a mix of both.

What an adorable little village in the spirit of Cavendish. Activities shopping and food! They are telling tales when they say they have the best food in PEI either. A must see and eat.

If you are a fan of Anne of Green Gables, you will love this place. It's a small community of restaurants plus the interesting church the author of the books attended which has been moved to this location. There are several restaurants to choose from, a Cows ice cream shop, Anne's Favorite Chocolates and several shops which are very much... More

Avonlea Village is away from the main road and can be easy to miss but you should not. There are several good restaurants and shops in the small shopping village. Piatto pizza is very good and COWS has great ice cream.

Lots of cute little shops to browse through, but everything is pricey. We bought chocolate at the specialty shop $$$. Lots of options for a meal like baked potatoes, grilled cheese and of course Cows ice cream. It was pretty busy however so we went elsewhere for lunch. Worth the stop in to walk around if you are looking for... More

A charming setting for some shops and restaurants. It's a very nice place to walk around. We also attended a great Ceilidh concert at the replica of the Avonlea church.

We went here several years ago and it was amazing. They have now changed their business model which is now just overpriced restaurants and shops. They took away what used to be fun about the place, the characters, the animals (my kids loved the pig race), etc.
