I took the boat trip out to the lighthouse during Canal Days. It's a fun adventure but not necessarily suited to everyone. To get to the top of the lighthouse, you have to climb up quite vertical ladders. And the walk-about at the top is...More

Had a very enjoyable tour of our local lighthouse and the history behind it- with a water taxi ride right up to the house! Our guide was a former history teacher who filled us in on the background of the tunnels, the building and it's...More

This attraction is not always open as you have to take a boat out to the light house. We did the visit during their annual canal festival. It's a fun boat ride out and it was a lot of fun going into the light house....More

It's still an interesting lighthouse to look at and go inside but only on the mail floor. After two years there have been no safety improvements whatsoever. The steep stairway up is easy to trip on and then it's all the way down. It's really...More

Due to circumstances these lighthouses are open very small amounts of time. Permit was only good for 4 hours and we just missed the last boat out. Plan ahead and get there early to tour.

We visited the lighthouses in 2014. Wear good shoes if you intend to climb to the top for a wonderful view and great pictures. This is well worth the effort.

We tong the tour during Canal Days. It was reasonably priced with the money going towards preserving the lighthouse. It started with a short boat ride out the the lighthouse. Then a tour in and around the lighthouse. The staff, all volunteers, were very friendly...More

We took the trip out to see the Port Colborne lighthouses during Canal Days. It's a very short trip by boat, but that's the only way to really see these two historical buildings - check their website to find out when tours are available. The...More
