An excellent location to base your visit of Port Colborne from. This area is close to convenient parking and a variety of restaurants and shops. The walkway along the Welland Canal is a great place to see ships entering and exiting the canal. All good.

The Promenade is part of the walking, biking and hiking trail on the North Shore. It is well maintained by the city. Great shopping for food and gifts are next to the Promenade. See boats including lakers, ocean going ships, pleasure craft and cruise ships from around the world. Plenty of benches to enjoy the view.

My wife and I love this little stretch, most famous for it's jammed packed streets during "Canal Days". It's one of those hidden gems, it has all the quaint little shops places to eat a beautiful view of the canal without hordes of people!

It is a great place to watch the ships go by and you never know what's going to be docked there next. There are a lot of quaint shops and unique dining areas to choose from. The whole street comes alive during Canal Days on the August long weekend.

On Monday, May 23, Victoria Day, I walked from Clarence St to H H Knoll Park. Many walkers and bikers enjoying restaurants, shops, and view of boats and canal. Ranks a 5 if these several annoying things were fixed: The city restroom at Charlotte and West St was not open. The umbrellas at Canalside Restaurant covered the whole sidewalk which... More

A most interesting and revealing talk/walk along the Welland Canal in Port Colborne featuring our West Street histories. Each building has a story to tell with many eye catching architectural features pointed out along the way that showcase the city's history. Learn of the local rum runners and bar brawls that rival the Klondike Days! Days and times available at... More

We often go for a short walk here. Pick up some fish and chips at Minors, then a stroll along the canal. It would be nice if there were more stores to browse in

The promenade is the favorite section of my daily walk. You never know what you are going to see in the way of vessels. Foreign cargo ships, multi million dollar pleasure craft and cruise ships. You can tell how popular it is by seeing all the foot and bike traffic daily. A perfect location for the annual Canal Days festivities.
