I wanted to expose my 10 year old to horses and thought that a guided tour would be a fun way to do so. The reviews for this place were great, so I booked this as our last fun before school activity. The horses were lovely but the guides were absolutely abysmal! Not only were they rude to me and my child, they completely ignored his needing help, and didn’t bother explaining how to follow their instructions. The horse he was on wanted to eat plants on the walk, and the guides yelled at my kid for him to keep the horse from doing that without offering him help or explanation. Although my kid was the novice, an experienced rider was placed next to the guide, who only realized that my child needed help at the end of the two hour ride by which point he was in tears! I spent two hours on horseback thinking that my kid will never want to do this again and paid for this experience! If you want your child to love horses and the experience of being on horseback, this is not the place for you.

I am very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience with us. I understand that it must have been frustrating for your son when his horse kept trying to snack and he was unable to stop it. When discussing your situation with the 2 guides who were with you on the ride they both confirmed that your son was offered to be lead by the one of the guides so he did not need to worry about the eating and they were both refused. Without being able to attach his horse there is nothing else the guides are able to do other than keep encouraging him to pull his horses head up to stop him from eating. We also offer Private Rides which are encouraged for any riders who are nervous or require extra assistance ensuring that the guides focus is solely on you for the entire ride and not divided between our other guests. Again I am sorry that your experience with us was not an enjoyable one.

My favorite part was on the beach of course. Very picturesque. The overall horseback riding was slow, the horse was cooperative and obedient. The guide was informative and social. The trail was just ok. There's beautiful beach in the area too.

We really enjoyed this ride. It's an easy relaxing ride and no experience is necessary. All of the guides were fun, professional, cute as could be, and really knew how to ride. They made it look easy. They provided riding tips throughout the entire experience. On several of the flat stretches they made us pick up the pace and had us stand up in our saddles to make the horses run at a slow gallop. This takes a little practice to get the hang of it. My favorite part was when we got to Lake Erie and took the horses out into the water. We stopped there for several pictures and to rest before we headed back.

Beautiful location- the beach is a great back drop for nice pics which the guides will take for you. Very scenic even riding along the road as you can view the lake and trees along the way. Guides are diligent about safety in crossing roads, and with the horses. All were great weight/health/feet. A really good time!
