There's something about the Georgian Bay Islands, it's hard to explain, but just one trip on the 30 thousand islands cruise out of Parry Sound will leave no doubt in anyone's mind as to just how precious this part of our country is. It may sound so cliche but it is a place truly timeless in its sheer natural beauty... More

Our visit to the park was very pleasant. 4 adults and 3 young girls, we rented 2 yurts (o'tentiks) and stayed there for 3 nights at Cedar Spring campground. The o'tentiks are new and very spacious (we don't understand why only 4 people are allowed in one). The park has numerous hiking and biking trails. We enjoyed as much as... More

We've been to many National Parks and National Historic sites. Shawn's guided hike around the boardwalk and through the various eco-systems of the park was over-the-top informative for us and our 3 kids. He knows his stuff. He went out of his way to make sure we were learning about the park's history and its pre-contact residents. Thanks Shawn for... More

This is not the first or last time visiting Beausoleil island, I love this place. From the wilderness areas, wildlife viewing, abundant trails and amazing beauty wherever you look to the outstanding facilities and excellent staff, this place is a hidden treasure for campers and glampers! The cabins are clean, well maintained and stocked with many items so you haul... More

Lived in Toronto for many years but never been to this beautiful national park. Recently bought the Discovery Pass from Parks Canada Web site found this hidden gem. It's less than 2 hrs drive from Toronto and you can take highway 400 and Muskoka Road 5 to Honey Harbour to catch the boat Day Tripper to get on the Beausofeil... More

If we only stayed 2 nights I would have given this park 5 stars. Our check-in at Honey Harbour was very smooth. A parking spot was reserved for us. We loaded our stuff onto the Cargo boat and our caught our boat for the island. When we arrived on Beausoleil we had carts to borrow to pull our stuff to... More

Dear mntparish, Thank you for visiting Georgian Bay Islands National Park and for providing feedback on your trip. We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience on the last night of your stay. We came up here for the day while travelling across Canada. It was a great decision as it is an iconic destination and very beautiful. The staff whom we met were great. From arriving a couple of minutes late for the boat the staff at the boat dock were friendly and genuinely glad that we had made our reserved boat... More

Yes, there are lots of people and boats. Yes, they make lots of noise. But neither of those is Parks Canada fault. I found the park itself very clean despite all the people and employees very friendly. The views are beautiful, the water is warm and clear and the hikes are quite pleasant. It might not be as dramatic as... More

We decided to rent a canoe from Picnic Island Resort instead of taking the boat shuttle. At an extremely leisurely pace it took us an hour to paddle to Cedar beach, where we parked the canoe for the duration. The office staff offered to take our stuff by motorized cart to the cabins, while we biked there ($25 per person... More
