Great pub!
Oct 2019
The staff are friendly and the music is wonderful! Food is good too! Lots of locals standing around talking....made it hard to hear the visiting musician....but they all left by 8 and then the music was wonderful!

Where Everyone Knows Everyone Else
Sep 2019 • Couples
A very small and intimate pub that plays live music. The bartender is also great at mixing whatever drinks you need. A good spot to people watch.

Just a word to the wise: this is a very local pub, where everyone knows everyone else; so you are an outsider (as we were) and you’ll be treated as such, with most ppl ignoring your existence altogether or some staring/glaring at you. If you don’t get your feelings hurt by that or aren’t up for small talk (we weren’t) then it’s not too bad and it’s a nice place to people watch.

Stopped in for a Beer
Jun 2017 • Couples
While in town my wife and I went out on a date night while leaving our kid with my parents. We stopped at the Grindhouse for a beer before we went to dinner. We had a blast trying the different local beers in the fun and energetic location. Many people were doing the same thing, the music was great and the pub was lively. A great selection of draft beers and more, pub food was on the menu and looked good although we didn't try any. Great spot

Brewery visit
Apr 2017 • Couples
While having lunch in Havelock I noticed the restaurant served a Red Ale from a small local brewery, so I made my way to the brewery named Church-Key. We tried a few samples and settled on two other beers, as they were out of the Red Ale. I'll jusy have to make a second visit.😁

Awesome food. Amazing music
Jan 2016
Came for dinner, stayed for the show. Great music four nights a week. Whomever sources the entertainment does it well. Staff was only one person who does it all! Name has changed apparently though, not sure if its new owners or new name. Now called churchkey pub and grindhouse

Thanks Summerloverdude, We are glad you like our wee pub. Music is a great mix of local talent and musicians traveling through the area. We are quite small and our amazing staff as you say " does it all" . The name change is really just a formality . We are The Church-Key Pub & Grindhouse, but have owned the place since 2008.

Great staff
Jun 2015 • Couples
We came here to eat one night after we were sick of being rained out night after night while we were camping at the nearby provincial park. We originally went to the restaurant next door but after waiting for 20 minutes no one had even acknowledged us so we went next door to The Stinking Rose. The staff were super friendly. The waitress explained all the beer and cider choices and gave us a sample of the ones we were interested in and she paired them off really well with our meals. The food was simple but well made and warm and everything hit the spot perfectly.

Campbellfords version of Cheers!

Loved the feel of this intimate little pub. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different craft beers available.
I happened in on a Wednesday night when there was a local musician playing, felt like a little party in my living room.
Definitely will go back.
