This is a great way to get to know the town and it's people. We got two knitted mitts using a pattern from Newfoundland, local soap, speciality baking (bacon balls) and fancy butters. We even met a local artist or two. All from going to the craft show at the church.

This church is gorgeous inside and out. So much history and architecture. The recent facelift completed last summer preserved and restored this landmark. They did an amazing job. The 3 churches in Mahone Bay are a must see when visiting the town.

Mahone Bay is a must do. The churches greet you when you enter the town. We entered town during Scarecrow Festival very fun as each business & house on the main all participated. Lovely town

Located along NS3 on the north side of Mahone Bay, this is one of 3 picturesque churches adjacent to the water. Drive up to Oakland Road on the right to view all 3 side by side across the water.

The Churches in Mahone Bay are picture perfect and to visit them and look around is kind of magically.

As a retired Reformed minister, I enjoy visiting interesting churches when on holiday. It was a late September afternoon with off and on showers when my wife, daughter, and I drove through Mahone Bay. The church steeple was very prominent, and I had to take a look. The outside of the church was beautiful and beautifully kept. Some real love went into that building. Unfortunately, the door was locked so I couldn't go inside. AS I was leaving, the Rector, having seen us, came to the door and let us in. He then gave us a little "tour," pointing out the stained glass windows and the finer points of the interior architecture. He was happy to "talk shop" with another minister, although retired and of a different denomination. A very gracious man.
We spent a week in the Lunenburg area, and I would say that our visit to this church is one of my fondest memories.

St James Anglican Church is part of the scenic three churches located as you drive into Mahone Bay. All 3 churches are available for tours. Worth a stop and take photos.

Mahone Bay is known for the "three churches" that you see as you drive into town. St. James' is the most impressive. It is definitely worth a quick visit.

Had a tour of the 3 churches, which you can do for free at the start of each hour of the day. Can take pictures and learn about the churches history. Very nice visit.
