So much fun to walk into Amos Pewter in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. I have been ordering their ornaments for years! I purchased a bracelet, earrings to match and two ornaments. Having a name on a piece is free! A very nice lady gave us a demonstration of how the pewter is made into earrings. Interesting! Such beautiful items.

I loved learning about the pewter process and seeing the artists at work. Afterwards, walking around the store and marveling at the beautiful items was a lot of fun too. Everyone here was friendly and helpful, and we learned some new things.

This is a very interesting shop. There is a large selection of Pewter and you can watch a demonstration of how items are produced.

Great place to see pewter items being constructed at the back of the shop and for gifts in any price range. If you are looking for a special remembrance from Nova Scotia, this spot is the place to find it. There are Amos Pewter items located in many spots in NS, but this factory/store is the best.

We try to get up to Nova Scotia every summer. Without fail, every time we're there, we make the trip out to Amos Pewter. I always buy the year's ornament - they're so lovely I wear several of them as necklaces. And they have a "Hands on Experience" for the kids (or really anybody who wants to try their hand... More

It doesn't matter if you buy or not, stop in and watch the demonstration. It is so cool to watch this stuff being made. This is as good as the science guy on TV, but live in front of you. They make some cool stuff, too, so buy something, but there is no pressure to purchase if you just go... More

Earlier in the week, we had purchased some charms in Halifax from Amos Pewter. When we saw this shop/workshop in Mahone Bay, we were delighted. It was so much fun to see all of the many choices--charms, pendants, cups, decorations-- and especially excited to see real people, real artisans working on real HAND-CRAFTED items. In a post-industrialized society, it was... More

The staff was great and showed us the process of how the Amos Pewter pieces are made. We found it very interesting and educational. We bought a sweet pewter Christmas teddy bear photo ornament for our grandchild's first Christmas. The gal learning that it was a gift even wrapped it for us. And she told us that all of the...
